Happy Sunday! Here are today's Mass announcements:

Join other adults today after the 9:30 a.m. Mass in the Annex Zink Room to discuss the Gospel in more depth and for fellowship. All are welcome! Sunday Scripture Sharing meets every 1st & 3rd Sunday.

Our parish office will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. We will have one Mass at 9 a.m.

Two Altar Server Trainings are coming up this month, Basic and Advanced. Children 10 years old (or in 4th grade) who would like to become an altar server, can attend the basic level training this Tuesday, September 8. Children who have been serving for at least one year can attend the Advanced Training next Tuesday, September 15. More details: https://st-ignatius.org/altar-servers

This Thursday, September 10, our parish will host relics of St. Francis, St. Clare, and St. Carlo Acutis. Veneration of the relics begins at 6 p.m., followed by Mass at 7 p.m. with Bishop Emeritus of Assisi, Domenico Sorrentino. All ministry leaders are invited to our annual Ministry Leaders’ Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, September 12, in the Athletic Center, immediately following the 8 a.m. Mass. To celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, join us for Vespers (evening prayer) on Monday, September 14 at 7 p.m. in the main church. Our Lady of Sorrows is the patroness of the Congregation of Holy Cross priests, brothers, and sisters, so this is a special feast for us as a Holy Cross parish.

El jueves 10 de septiembre, nuestra parroquia recibirá las reliquias de San Francisco, Santa Clara y San Carlo Acutis. La veneración de las reliquias comenzará a las 6 p.m., seguida de la Misa a las 7 p.m. Todos están invitados a esta oportunidad única de oración y devoción durante este año en que conmemoramos los 800 años de la muerte de San Francisco de Asís.

Todos los líderes de ministerios están invitados a nuestro Desayuno Anual de Agradecimiento para Líderes de Ministerios el sábado 12 de septiembre, inmediatamente después de la Misa de las 8 a.m. en el Centro Atlético. Para celebrar la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, acompáñenos a las Vísperas (oración de la tarde) el lunes 14 de septiembre a las 7 p.m. en la iglesia principal. Nuestra Señora de los Dolores es la patrona de los sacerdotes, hermanos y hermanas de la Congregación de Santa Cruz, por lo que esta es una fiesta muy especial para nosotros como parroquia de Santa Cruz.

Join us on Saturday, September 5 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the main church for this special evening as we pray in community while deepening our relationship with Jesus. Fr. On Saturday, August 29 at 1:30 pm EDT, Tim Wymore, C.S.C. will join three other men of Holy Cross in professing perpetual vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Tim has discerned God’s call during his years in formation and is now prepared to devote his life to God as a finally-professed member of the Congregation of Holy Cross.

Registration for children’s Religious Education closes next week! You can register online or stop by the Athletic Center today between 12-3 p.m. Have questions? Stop by their table after Mass for more information about registering or about becoming a volunteer.

Adults and youth (middle and high school) are also invited to stop by the table in the narthex for information about preparing for a sacrament or other opportunities to grow in your faith. Our Faith Formation Team is here to answer all your questions, so please come and speak with them!

Catholicism 101 returns this Monday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in the Zink Room. Our focus will be the first section of the catechism – what we believe as Catholics. All are welcome; no pre-registration is required.

Fr. Chris and other members of the Holy Cross family are heading to Seoul for World Youth Day 2027! Interested in going? Young adults ages 21-39 are invited to join us this Wednesday, August 19, to share some Korean food and learn more about this amazing experience. Contact Fr. Chris for more details.

This weekend, the Children's Religious Education Team will be available in the narthex after all Masses to answer any general questions you have about programs for children or about registration for students in grades 1-8. On Sunday, August 16 only, from 12-3 p.m. in the Doré Athletic Center, in-person assistance will be available for those with more questions or who need help submitting the registration form.

Youth (middle school and high school) and adults in need of a sacrament or interested in learning more about other faith formation opportunities are also encouraged to stop by the table after all Masses. Our youth and adult faith formation ministers will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have. Stop by and chat with us!

Este fin de semana, el Equipo de Educación Religiosa estará disponible en el vestíbulo después de todas las misas para responder cualquier pregunta que tengan sobre los programas para niños en general o sobre la inscripción para estudiantes de grados 1-8.
