We had a meeting in Tomball today at Salem Lutheran Church to finish planning for our mission trips this fall and in the spring. Our friend Catherine Wangari is here from Kenya and it was a joy to see her again. We will have the pleasure of hosting her in Austin next week. The overall theme for the day was that we are finishing our 10th year of spreading the Gospel in Kenya through vision, dental and medical clinics as well as other projects such as malaria prevention and setting up a home for abused girls. The picture for today is of many of the leaders of our project and a cake which was eaten shortly thereafter! Thank you Jesus for this ministry!

We are one week away from embarking on yet another mission to Kenya to share the Gospel at two new locations, Kitengela and Kiambu. Pastor Kevin will be leading the team at the first location, and I, Dave DeVore, will head the second team. We will have 17 people there, using the human care ministry of providing reading glasses, distance glasses, medications and referrals for cataract surgeries to help spread the Good news.
