Congratulations to member Margaret Talbot, who was installed as a deacon during worship on Sunday, May 10. And thanks to Rev. Sarah de la Fuente, one of our amazing parish associates, for leading the installation.

Thanks be to God for all of the generations of leaders! Led by Christ and inspired by our Presbyterian tradition, we walk toward our future with hope and an openness to change as we navigate the road ahead.

Staff Spotlight:
Dianna Jarvis, Worship & Arts Director

Dianna helps enrich the worship life of through music, creativity, and meaningful collaboration. As our Worship & Arts Director, she leads the Sanctuary Choir and Handbell Choir, coordinates musicians throughout the year, and brings together the many artistic elements that enrich worship—from organ and piano to brass, strings, and band. She thoughtfully planned the beautiful and reflective worship experiences of Holy Week and organized last Sunday’s fun afternoon at the ballpark, where our choir sang the national anthem.

An encourager, humorist, and self-proclaimed “queen of useless trivia,” Dianna is a San Antonio transplant who came north for a new adventure. After years as a public-school choir director, she now combines her love of music and lifelong involvement in the church through her work at FPCA. When she’s not studying music or planning worship, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two spoiled pups.

On Youth Sunday, we honored our graduating seniors as they prepare for what’s next. Each of them received a custom blanket—a reminder that wherever their journey leads, they are surrounded by the love, encouragement, and prayers of their community. After worship, the community celebrated with them at a reception in the Narthex. We are grateful to walk alongside them into this new season.

On Sunday, May 10, we offered our gratitude to David Stith as he concluded his time as organist at FPCA. Together, the congregation sang “The Lord Bless You and Keep You,” blessing him for the journey ahead. He also received a piece of artwork by Rev. CD Weaver and a fun "heavy metal" shirt. We give thanks for the artistry David shared with us and send him forth with deep gratitude and every blessing.
