The Carpenter's hands

The Carpenter's hands We are a group of people that God lead to completely walk out Matthew 25. We are here to help "the least of these." no matter the cost. And most of all WE LOVE!

We provide a range of services. We give, We help, We counsel, We disciple, We follow Christ! How The Carpenter's Hands came about is a long journey and process the Lord took us through. Like most Christians, we have always felt a need to serve and help others. We would give and help when it wasn't too inconvenient. But God! We began to feel that it was time do more. We didn't know how or what we w

ere supposed to do. Then one day the Lord showed us Mathew 25. All the times we had read it or heard a message on it, we thought we knew it. But this time the words were jumping off the page. It was real to us. So that began to push us into a sold-out mission to help "the least of these". We started to be more intentional about who, how, and when we help others. Still, we had no idea what God was doing. All we knew is that we wanted to whatever we could to show the love of Christ to everyone we could. Then out of nowhere the idea of an actual organization came up. Then the name, then the desire to see it come to be. It was all coming together. But what really set it off was two instances back to back. First, we heard a story from a missionary. She was talking about how they built a house for a lady in another country, then built her a store on the side of the house for the whole village. She said "it was great to build her a house. It was needed. But to be able to build her a store for the whole village was creating sustainability. We were able to build her a way to provide for her family." And that word "sustainability" stood out to all of us. The second which followed shortly after we began to pray what the Lord was saying about that, was hurricane Harvey. One of us was able to get down there to help. He went to Houston then Beaumont. He came back and told us "it wasn't just helping people out of their flooded houses that was needed. It would be a complete overhaul. People would need a place to stay, away to get around They would need to be able to clean the streets, fix their homes. They would even need to know how to budget for the things insurance wouldn't cover. Not including the counseling they would need to get over some of the horrors of that whole ordeal." "Yes they need help, and lots of it," he said. "But most of all they will need to be able to help themselves when we are not here. They would need sustainability." That is when we knew God was really telling us to get moving on all of this. "but how or what are we going to do" We asked Him. That verse from Ex. 4:2 "what is in your hand" stood out. So we got together some handymen, some designers, some stay at home moms, some that have worked on cars and so much more. From then on we have used what we knew and some of what we didn't to help and reach as many as we could. This is not a place for people to get free work or services when they have the need to do so. It is a place to help those that can not help themselves. Whether it is to help fix a broken fence, change the oil in the car, help out when a loved one passes, or even just to be there for someone. We do all of that and more, but we have the desire to teach and lead people to be in a place to do that for themselves and others too. Yes, we will help someone pay their bills when they are hurting. But what if we helped them get financially stable and on a budgeting plan so it won't happen again. Yes, we will help someone with their car. But what if we taught them how to do it again by themselves. And of course we will give to the poor. But again what would happen if we gave them the tools to get a good job and a place to stay. All of that is giving as is our heart to see Mat. 25 come to life. But more then that is helping people have sustainability in their lives so they can then help others as well. This is what our mission, goal, and heart is. This is what God has been birthing in all of us. So please let us know how we can serve you or someone you know.

This past thanksgiving weekend we had such an amazing experience! One of our little ones, who is only 5 years old saw some homeless people under the bridge and was so heart broken that they didn’t get to have a thanksgiving meal. So he really wanted to give them some food. They went home and heated up as much leftovers as possible and went to take it to them. He was so excited the hole way there. He was just saying “isn’t this so cool! They are going to get thanksgiving like us!” They pulled over and all went under the bridge to give them some money and the food and just wish them a happy thanksgiving. Sometimes all we need to do is be more like a child and see the lost and hurting of the world. Jesus said that unless we become like a child we will never enter the kingdom of heaven. We all we just so amazed at how beautiful this little child’s heart was! Thank you Jesus!

God is so good! We had someone that has been living here or there for a while trying to find a place to stay. And they finally got their own apartment. Yay! It was so awesome. We got to help them move all of their stuff over and then after it was all put together we realized even in a studio they didn’t have everything someone would need. So the carpenter’s hand was able to take her out to Walmart and buy her all new stuff for her place! It was incredible! She was so great full! It was such a beautiful experience! Thank you Lord for using us and giving us the finances to be able to provide for her what she needed!

“For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

I'd like to thank Carpenter's Hands for the outstanding job they did fixing my problem. I had a rotting deck that ran almost the entire length of the back of my house. Not only was this deck dangerous, it was ruining the siding of my home. For literally years I tried to find someone to remove it at a reasonable price that I could make payments on (I'm a disabled senior on a fixed income). The bids were in the hundreds and out of my reach. So I turned to the Lord and prayed for a miracle. My prayers were answered last week by Carpenter's Hands. A very nice man came out and said he could remove the deck and haul it away. I held my breath as I asked the price for this. When he answered "no charge", I was speechless and so grateful. But the story doesn't end there. This kind, generous man not only did the deck, he put a new cap on the railing I decided to keep (It was not rotting), sanded and power washed it. Also power washed the side of my house damaged by rain bouncing off the deck onto the house. He laid rocks along my house so the rain wouldn't bounce up onto it. Also crushed stone on the rest of the large area where the deck had been so I could use it. This hard working man did all this without being asked and all in 2 days!!! Not only does my yard look amazing, it is no longer dangerous to me, visitors or my pets. I can now enjoy my yard and my home is not continuing to be ruined.
Discovering during recent disasters that the big, well known "charities" only used pennies of every dollar donated to actually help people, was disheartening. Carpenter's Hands has renewed my faith in those that truly want to help just for the satisfaction that they made someone's life better.
When all was done, I gave a small (that's all I could afford) donation, that he was reluctant to accept. But I needed to do what I could, no matter how little, to pay forward their amazing work.
Please read about this remarkable organization and the services they provide. And if you'd like to donate your hard earned dollars to an organization where EVERY penny goes to help those in need, please consider Carpenter's Hands.
God bless you Carpenter's Hands for making my miracle happen. You are in my prayers daily that you are able to continue doing the Lord's work.
Will post pictures to show this amazing transformation.

today one of our people had an amazing experience. They went to go put the last of there money in the gas tank. They went up to the counter and right in front of them was a young girl with all kinds of tattoos and piercings. and she was telling the clerk that she just checked her account and that there should be $30 in there and that she needs the gas. "it's in there" she said desperately. They didn't think too much about it. "if she has it in her account then she just needs to wait and it will get figured out" they thought to themselves. So they put the rest of there money on pump 3 and went out to go fill up their vehicle. But as they left the store they saw that young lady grabbing what they could out of her car and very distraught looking started to head to the pawn shop next door with her stuff. The person couldn't stand to see it they said. "I have been there and have lost so much stuff to pawnshops before I was saved. It just broke my heart to see her having to make that choice, " they said. So they yelled out at her if she needed gas. She turned around almost hopelessly and replied yes. Moved by the spirit the person told her, "it isn't too much but you can have whatever is on this pump if you just mover your car her. She was so surprised and so thankful. She even began to cry as she said thank you over and over. She really didn't know what to do and just said thank you thank you thank you.
I know most people would say why didn't you tell her about Jesus or pray for her. But the one on our team really felt that they were just supposed to give the money say god bless you and move on. The bible says some plant some water but God is the one that brings the growth. "I don't know what her story was or why she was hurting so bad. All I know is I showed her the love of the father. And that's enough for me" They told us. God is so good! And the craziest thing about that is they weren't even going to stop there cause the gas was a little higher than right by their house. But they felt like they should have. and BAMB! God was their. LOL! We just love him and thank him for these little experiences with the Holy Spirit!

“But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.”
