Day 23 of Bible in 90 Days đź“–

Today we finish the story of David. It’s a story that begins with so much promise but ends with heartbreak, conflict, and regret.

Pastor Lisa reflects on the warning hidden in David’s story: power can be used for good, or it can pull us away from God’s purposes.

Here’s today’s question: We all have some kind of influence or power. How are you using yours for good in the world?

Day 22 of Bible in 90 Days đź“–

Today’s reading includes the difficult story of David and Bathsheba. David makes serious mistakes and then tries to cover them up.

Pastor Lisa finds hope in the reminder that even David—a man after God’s own heart—was deeply flawed. God’s story is full of imperfect people, and God’s grace is bigger than our failures.

Day 17 of Bible in 90 Days đź“–

Today’s reading in Judges reminds us that anger often grows out of grief, hurt, and injustice.

Emma-Elisabeth reflects on Jotham’s parable and the difficult question it raises: How do we love our neighbors when we witness injustice and suffering?

Day 16 of Bible in 90 Days đź“–

Not every part of the Bible is easy to read—and that’s okay.

Today’s reading in Joshua and Judges reminds us that God’s people were trying to stay faithful in a world full of competing influences. Sound familiar?

The good news? God kept showing up, working through imperfect people and imperfect situations.

We’re at day 16 in the Bible and 90 days. Pastor Abby is reflecting on Joshua today and how sometimes books of the Bible are are harder to read than others. Joshua is certainly one of those books as it sometimes seems that it’s the good guys vs. the bad guys. The question of the day is who are the bad guys and who are the good guys in your life right now. Keep reading!!

Day 15 of Bible in 90 Days đź“–

Today we said goodbye to Moses as we finished Deuteronomy and began the book of Joshua.

In her reflection, Pastor Lisa was struck by Moses’ farewell speech to the Israelites. His words of instruction, encouragement, and blessing reminded her of Jesus’ farewell discourse to the disciples in the Gospel of John.

It’s a beautiful reminder that God’s story is connected from beginning to end.

Here’s a question to ponder: What parallels are you noticing between the Old Testament and the New Testament? What stories, themes, or characters seem to echo one another?
