Fathers- we celebrate and honor you! Thank you for loving, leading, sacrificing, encouraging, and showing up day after day for your families. We’re also grateful for the men who invest in others, mentor the next generation, and serve as father figures within our WBCC family- you are a pillar for our church.

We also know that Father’s Day can be marked by loss, disappointment, or longing. If that’s part of your story, we pray you’re reminded that you have a perfect Heavenly Father who sees you, knows you, and loves you—the source of every good gift and the One whose love never fails.

But our parents probably won’t miss the hike past a pizza place, a dentist, a bar, a restaurant, and a loan office.

Breakaway Kids has a new look, a new space, colorful new murals, an awesome playground, and a location that’s actually connected to the rest of the church. Imagine that. 😅

And the best part is... the same amazing volunteers, trusted teachers, and friendships your kids already know and love are coming with us!

But seriously... who wants to start making donuts in the Breakaway Cafe?

Today we're celebrating someone who helps make WBCC feel like home.

As our Connections Director, Melanie leads our greeter, usher, and hospitality teams, creating opportunities for people to feel known and belong. From welcoming guests on Sunday mornings to following up with first-time visitors and helping people get connected, she plays a vital role in caring for our church family and those who walk through our doors for the first time.

Thank you, Melanie, for your servant heart, your dedication, and the many ways you help people experience the love of Christ. We hope you have a wonderful birthday! 🎂🎈

We had an amazing week at Boot Camp and Backyard Bible Clubs! It was so encouraging seeing how much our students grew in only a few short days. During the day we got training and practice for leading the Bible clubs, the students led the clubs in the evenings, and then we closed out the night with worship and teaching led by different pastors and leaders from our church network. In between all of this, we also had lots of fun, and grew closer together as a community, making new friends and lifelong memories. Through the clubs we connected with several new families in the Breakaway area, and got to share the gospel with them and invite them to church! The students all got experience articulating the gospel and gained confidence in telling others about Jesus. I am so encouraged by these students, and so thankful for the amazing men and women serving faithfully as student leaders, as well as the generous families who hosted these Bible clubs at their homes—it is such a blessing to be a part of this ministry!
