It's getting to be that time of year again...CCHD's Multimedia Youth Contest is right around the corner! This year's theme is "Do Justice, Love Goodness, Walk Humbly with God." Any student in grades 7-12 is welcome to create any type of art (music, painting, sculpture, poem, etc) reflecting this theme and its connection to social justice in our own community. Student artwork should be turned into the diocesan office by March 4. Dahlia Green Cleaning is a cooperative business in Austin, started by a few women who wanted to improve their lives and the lives of their families. Through Cooperation Texas, a CCHD-funded group, these women are now equal owners of their new cleaning business. They are paid more, they are treated with more respect, and they have more schedule flexibility so they can take better care of their families. They have been so successful that they are expanding and looking to hire some new members! Way to go, Dahlia!

HomeAbout DahliaDahlia Green Cleaning Services was founded in June 2012 by four women with shared economic needs. Motivated by the desire to create more just and dignified jobs in the cleaning industry, Brenda Jimenez, Eva Marroquin, Cyndi Jimenez and Maria Munoz came together to improve the standar...
