The East Nineteenth Street Missionary Baptist Church celebrated the 47th Pastoral Anniversary of our beloved pastor, Rev. M. C. Walker, Sr., and Sis. Sharon K. Walker, giving God all the glory for His faithfulness throughout their years of dedicated service.

We were inspired by Rev. Dr. Eric Tarver of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, who preached a powerful message, “The Blessing of Faithful Leadership,” from 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13 (NKJV).

His message reminded us to:
• Recognize our spiritual leaders for their faithful labor.
• Respect those who lovingly watch over our souls.
• Restore and preserve unity by living in peace and demonstrating love through our actions.

We thank God for 47 years of faithful leadership and pray His continued blessings upon Pastor and Sis. Walker. To God be all the glory!

Our pastor, Rev. M. C. Walker, Sr. honored fathers and grandfathers with a powerful message, “A Father’s Treatment of a Lost Son” from Luke 15:17-24 KJV, emphasizing the heart and reaction of the father.

The father allowed his son the freedom to leave, trusting that the lessons he had taught would one day guide him back home. He did not give up on his child but patiently waited with faith, knowing that some lessons can only be learned through life’s experiences.

When the son “came to himself” and returned home, the father did not focus on his failures. Instead, he saw his son from afar, was filled with compassion, ran to him, embraced him, and welcomed him home. He replaced shame with a robe, a ring, and shoes, showing that failure is not final and forgiveness is greater than mistakes.

The father’s love reflects the way God fathers us. Even when we wander into darkness, God sees us, has compassion for us, and welcomes us back with open arms. Just as the father ran to protect his son, Jesus covered our sin through His sacrifice on Calvary, demonstrating the depth of God’s unconditional love and grace.
