Our church, East Nineteenth Street Missionary Baptist Church, celebrated its 99th Church Anniversary today under the theme: “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS: 99 Years of God’s Grace.”

We were truly blessed by the powerful message delivered by Rev. E. Shawn Williams, pastor of Pleasant Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, entitled “God’s Faithfulness to His Church” from Lamentations 3:21-23 (KJV).

Those verses remind us that even when seasons change and challenges arise, God’s compassions never fail — they are new every morning.

One thing remains constant — God’s faithfulness.

God’s faithfulness is not dependent upon favorable or unfavorable conditions.

The three key takeaways Rev. Williams shared offered a grounded blueprint for the church as it moves toward its centennial year:

1. God’s mercies give the church stability.
2. God’s mercies give the church hope.
3. God’s mercies cover the church every day.

To God be the glory for 99 years of His grace, mercy, and faithfulness! 🙏🏾❤️

What a powerful night of unity with local churches, sororities, fraternities, and community organizations all coming together for a great cause!
✨ We celebrated survivors — honoring their courage and resilience.�💖 We recognized caregivers — lifting up those who give love and support daily.�🕯️ We remembered loved ones — during a beautiful luminaria ceremony.�🎗️ We took action — standing together for a future free from cancer.
