In his prayer intention for June, the month dedicated the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Pope Leo XIV encourages us, “Let us pray together that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from His Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.” As we begin this Novena to the Sacred Heart, we join the Holy Father in that prayer.

Deacon Cameron Kologinczak will be ordained to the priesthood June 6 at St. William Parish in Round Rock. He was raised at St John Vianney Parish in Round Rock and attended Holy Family Catholic School and St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School in Austin.

He said he first heard the call to the priesthood during his junior year of high school as he served on the altar during Mass.

“The Lord started to invite me to consider how cool it would be to be a priest and celebrate the Mass. This was especially strong in my heart while ringing the bells at the consecration.” - Deacon Cameron

Many people carry the pain of abortion in silence — wondering if healing, peace, or forgiveness is possible.

As the Church, we want every person to know: you are not alone, and Christ’s mercy is always greater than our wounds.

Our post-abortion healing retreat provides a safe, confidential, and faith-filled opportunity for healing and restoration.

Sometimes healing begins simply by knowing someone cares.

If you or someone you love is suffering after an abortion, we invite you to take this step toward healing.

Learn more about what this retreat can offer by visiting austindiocese.org/project-rachel, contacting [email protected], or calling (512) 949-2487.
