π¬ God and God alone can rescue me from the dimwitted depression that results from dreams not ever fully realized.
ππ» Dear Lord Jesus,
It's a tough pill to swallow that this is not paradise and that I am not the knight in shining armor ruling over it. The spoon full of sugar that helps this medicinal truth go down is that you are fashioning me into the person you want me to be. You are ever-present in all the resources you have put in my life, like family, friends, coworkers, education, challenges, and most of all, your Holy Spirit, who brings grace and truth to me every day.
Therefore, I have contentment and hope. I am content with my less-than-perfect circumstance, and I am hopeful that life is looking up and finally will end in glory, where I will find the paradise for which I long. Today will be a good day because of the contentment and hope you have given me during my fallen life.
Amen.
