City Harvest in New York says its share was $1 million, calling the gift "a love letter to New York" as visits to soup kitchens and food pantries sit near record highs. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank confirmed the same $1 million figure, describing the donation as unexpected and hoping it inspires others.

Swift has a pattern of quiet large-scale donations, most of them revealed by the charities rather than by her, going back through the Eras Tour when local food banks kept announcing gifts as her shows rolled through town.

Officials and workers on the ground have confirmed a celebration at Madison Square Garden this weekend, with a rehearsal dinner Thursday and the main event in the arena Friday. Swift's camp still hasn't acknowledged any of it.
