Austin Christian Church Christian Church 1868: Charles A. The building was completed in early 1872. This building is still in use. Bro. Trinkle held a Revival. The total cost was $4,900.00.

Manker, Minister of the Church of Christ near Hillsboro, Ohio, preached the first sermon in the Methodist Church in Austin.

1869: Bro. Manker held a second meeting in Austin at the school house.

1869: On September 26th the Church of Christ was organized.

1871: Plans were made for a new building. Manker preached for the next three years.

1875: Started practicing weekly Communion.

1875 – 1918:

The church struggled in attendance

1876: The bell was installed.

1921: O.A. New life was renewed

1933 – 1938: Harold Dunson preached. Attendance grew from 66 to 144 during his ministry

1936: Named changed to Austin Christian Church.

1940: Morgan Packing Company rapidly expended. The factory brought in many people to work. Church attendance also grew.

1942: Full time preaching began.

1946: Bible School attendance reached an average of 146.

1949: The parsonage was built. Loran Dace and his wife, Colleen, moved in. Senior Ministers:

For ACC folks 55 and under: don't forget that there is a special spaghetti dinner (plus salad, drinks, bread, & dessert) for you and your family right after church this coming Sunday!!! At the end of the dinner will be a special "lightning round" game...and if you can, bring a favorite game to play with others afterwards! Although you don't have to sign up at the Welcome Center to come, if you could let this site or the office know, we can know how much food to serve! IT'LL BE FUN!!! GUARANTEED!!!

We welcome you to join us tomorrow morning celebrating the Lord Jesus’ Resurrection!!! At the church in the morning at 8 a.m. is the SonRise Service with breakfast service immediately following. The 10:30 a.m. Worship Service features The Choir’s Easter Cantata “At The Cross”. All are welcome!

It was a beautiful day for an Easter Egg Hunt. We enjoyed seeing the kids hunting and having fun and congratulations to the few who won the BIG prizes. Baskets and bikes were waiting for the lucky winners.

Let’s not forget our reason for celebration and would like to invite you to our EASTER Services. We have a Sunrise Service at 8am, Sunday School at 9:30 ( for all ages young and old ) and Worship with our Choir at 10:30am. Spend Resurrection Sunday with us April 5.
