The Attic Film Fest

The Attic Film Fest Each Spring the ATTIC hosts a competitive Film Fest. Founded in 2007, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Austin, Texas.

More than a Film Fest, the ATTIC is a gathering of filmmakers, producers, actors, directors, writers and audiences exploring the art of telling the Gospel story through film. Judges select and nominate the highest caliber of films to compete for cash awards and additional screenings throughout the ATTIC season. A fun filmmaker dinner opens the fest for networking and fellowship, followed by screenings of the selected films over the course of the next 2 days.

Hey All!

Hope you are well and having a great summer. A fellow up and coming and very talented young filmmaker Gabriel Auffant connected with ATTIC needs our help with funding a web series. The project is called "Outside the Box”. The series is a situation comedy following the lives of several homeless people and their trials and tribulations. The series is light hearted and laugh out loud funny but does take a hard look at the plight of the homeless and their daily existence. And it respectful to this population. It explores the various reasons people wind up on the street and the humanity of those who live this way. The concept is positive and uplifting while being truthful. And it is very, very funny.

Here’s a clip of the opening episode.

Gabriel has been part of ATTIC for awhile now. He attended Acting classes, made several shorts and had his short, "Interrogation of Self" screen at ATTIC 2016 and other Fests. (You may recognize the lead actor in that IOS in the attached teaser of "Outside the Box.”)

Gabe and crew have started a Kickstarter Campaign and are doing well. But they need to complete their funding. If you can help, this project is wonderful. If you know of others that would like to help, please pass this email along to them. Here’s the Kickstarter URL https://www.kickstarter.com/…/outside-the-box-pilot-episode…

I’d love to see these guys complete (or sell) the series. The Cast and Crew, and Gabriel himself, are very talented Christian filmmakers that have a great concept and the know how to get this done. They are gently through the series pointing to Christ and how we should respond to the homeless. Doesn’t get any better than that.
