At Pentecost we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, who breathes life into the Body of Christ, the church and provides the gifts and guidance needed to sustain our life. We will gather together for lunch, served up by the Holy Smokers & Chef Robert following the 10:30 worship service. We will have fun activities for the kids, so don your red apparel and come to celebrate with us!

"Visio Divina: The Lectionary in Sacred Art"
Adult Sunday School Series
9:15 Sundays, B18/19

Join us for the kickoff of a new lectionary-based series, looking at our current weeks' readings through the lens of Christian art. Artistic portrayal of scenes from the Bible is itself a form of biblical interpretation, and what the artist imagines or adds to the scene fires the religious imagination. How can the artist's vision prompt us to re-envision these familiar stories? This week: Ascension (from last Sunday), and Pentecost (this Sunday) -- two scenes with rich traditions of depiction in Christian art!

We invite you to join us this Sunday, May 10th at 10:30 a.m., as we welcome The Rt. Rev. Kathryn M. Ryan, Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of Texas. She will confirm and receive members into the Episcopal Church and we will renew our own baptismal vows as a shared commitment to Christ, connecting our personal faith to the apostolic, universal church.

May 10th is also all about celebrating the amazing people who love, cheer, and care for us—mothers of every kind! So come wearing fanciest hat, or swing by early to choose one from our collection!

A beautiful “flowering of the cross“ with the St. Matthew’s day school today! Even after all the happy chatter has died off, and the children and “special guests” (parents and grandparents) have gone home for the day, the campus is still beautified by their handiwork!

He closed the yawning gates of hell;
the bars from heaven’s high portals fell.
Let hymns of praise his triumph tell.
Alleluia!

Yesterday, we gathered with joy to celebrate the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks for the glorious music, the fragrant lilies, and the fellowship of the Body of Christ. As we enter into the Great Fifty Days of Easter, may the light of the Risen Lord continue to shine in our hearts and through our service to the world.

May this flame be found still burning by the Morning Star: the one Morning Star who never sets, Christ your Son, who, coming back from death’s domain, has shed his peaceful light on humanity, and lives and reigns for ever and ever, Amen. ✨
Tonight we gathered to light the new fire, the Paschal Candle, and tell the story of our salvation. was a beautiful journey from shadow, into the light of Christ’s Resurrection. May His light shine from each of us as we go forth into our community. The Lord is risen, Alleluia!
