Rosedale Baptist Church

Rosedale Baptist Church Jarred Parnell, Pastor Our Church History

On August 7, 1937, 37 people gathered at the home of Reverend H.B. Sanders and formed the North Austin Baptist Church.

The church met for a time in a tent on 39 1/2 St. with electricity supplied by an extension cord running to C. W. Webb's home. A store building at 40th St. and Alice Ave. (now Medical parkway) was used until the permanent site was purchased in 1939. The first building was completed in 1940 with volunteer labor, and the church was renamed Rosedale Baptist Church. The original building was replaced

in 1946 and over the years many additions and various remodeling was done including a new sanctuary, finished in 1965. The older building was demolished in 1985 to make way for the present education building, dedicated in March, 1986. The round stained glass window from the old sanctuary building was installed in the new education building. A third building, which was first used to house the Rosedale Baptist School, completes the church complex at 44th and Maybelle. Rosedale Baptist is associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Baptist General Convention of Texas, and Austin Baptist Association.

From our prayer list

Happy Lungaversary James

One whole year !!! 🫁 🫁 🫁

Ya, I'm a day late and a dollar short as always 😂 actually about 6 weeks

April 1st and 2nd.. Time is just flying by with these beautiful new lungs and they just keep getting better and stronger each and every day.
Everyone compliments James on how much healthier he looks. With him being immunocompromised, he still has his ups and downs as they adjust his meds, but he is definitely enjoying his new life.
He tried to enter back into the working world but some people just suck the life, energy and soul out of you(his new boss) and I'm so glad he realized this. He was actually sick to his stomach going to work every day and having to do his job and everyone elses. We discussed the situation and he decided to look elsewhere for employment and he is actually feeling so much better. It's amazing how your body responds to the different stressors in your life. I am so proud of him. I'm proud to be his momma, his friend and his co pilot in this beautiful chaos we call our life. As long as he needs me or if he's ever afraid of anything, I'll always be right here on the sidelines to catch him if he falls. I am looking forward to seeing all of his new life's adventures and all the beautiful memories hell allow me to share in.
Praying for many more beautiful years to come

Your support during our journey is an honor and a privilege and we appreciate you all
Please keep the prayers and good vibes coming

Please consider becoming an organ donor 🙏
