Nothing that happened in Joseph's life was wasted, even though so much of it was difficult and involved harassment, humilition and great suffering. God won't waste any moment of your difficulties either. Love, forgive and trust Him in the darkness.

God, the gardener, works to prune out the things in us which are not pleasing to Him. We are all a work in progress!

*After service today, I heard from a gardener in the church family. She found that some seeds had fallen in some rocks and when they barely started to sprout, she transplanted them into good soil and now they are blooming! Another amazing story of how a gardener tenderly cares so that growth can occur. God the gardener does that for us too!

School begins next week! As everyone prepares for the school year ahead, we pray for students, teachers and parents:
"We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father." Colossians 1:9-12

There are seasons in life when the path feels uncertain, the burden feels heavy, and the valley seems longer than we expected. Yet Psalm 23:4 reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we do not walk alone.

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me."

Notice that the psalmist says through the valley, not stuck in the valley. God's presence doesn't always remove the trial, but it does sustain us within it. He walks beside us, strengthens us when we are weary, and comforts us when fear tries to take hold.

Whatever valley you may be facing today, take heart. The Good Shepherd is with you. His presence is your peace, His faithfulness is your strength, and His love will guide you every step of the way. 💛

Joseph had to wait a long time through some terrible circumstances to witness God's plan. While his time in prison must have made him feel discouraged and forgotten, Joseph chose to hold on to his faith and continued to trust. What do you do when things get hard?

Matthew 11:28-30 "Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
