“I think this will be a famous building. I think it will stand for hundreds of years.” – Jason Ballard, ICON CEO & Co-Founder

“It’s not only a…less expensive way to build; it’s also a more environmentally friendly way to build.” – Fr. Zac Koons

An Austin church is tapping into ICON’s 3D printing technology to rebuild its church campus.

"Visit, O blessed Lord, this home with the gladness of your presence."

What a great Saturday! St. Mark's parishioners participated in a home build at Community First! Village. This is one of several ways we assist Mobile Loaves & Fishes in their work to provide affordable, permanent housing and supportive community for the chronically homeless in Central Texas.

Morning St. Mark’s Family!

Here’s the promised weather plan: We’ve decided to collapse our Sunday into one in-person 11:15 a.m. service. This service will also be live-streamed (barring technical difficulties). Everything else will be either cancelled or postponed. There will be no Sunday School, no hospitality, and no nursery. The Annual Meeting, All Parish Photo, and Day School Sunday service (9am) will all be postponed to February 1.

It’s very difficult to predict what the condition of the roads actually will be tomorrow late morning. Please, please, do not get in your car if it does not feel safe for you to do so, even if you are signed up to serve. It will be lovely to share eucharist together with whomever is able to make it, but I don’t want anyone taking unnecessary risks. Worst case, since I live within walking distance, if the roads in Barton Hills are bad I can walk up to the church and hold a small service for whomever else can safely walk or ski or sled or mush there way there.
I hope you’re all enjoying a sweet sabbath with the world semi-shut down out there!

Much love,
Fr. Zac

The St. Mark's Adult Choir and Children's Choristers present a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the 11:15 AM service on Sunday, December 14. Accompanied by organ, piano, violin, and percussion, the choirs will share the Christmas story through ten choral compositions, ranging from classic works by Brahms, Nunes Garcia, and Coleridge-Taylor to newer compositions by American composers like Rosephanye Powell, Elaine Hagenberg, and Dan Forrest. We will also premier a new choral selection by local composer Evan Blaché. We hope you will join us!
