Transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit, WHPC will be a Christ-centered community of faith that intentionally nurtures relationships with God, one another, our neighbors and the world. Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church (WHPC) has a long and rich history in the Eanes community, beginning in 1874 in a one-room log cabin that was the first Eanes school and church. We are an inter-generational c

ommunity of faith bound by a strong commitment to Jesus Christ, led to be the love of Christ on earth to the community and around the world, and challenged to grow in faith as we walk boldly into next exciting chapter of God's story.

Standing with Central Texas: Ways to Support Flood Recovery

Our neighbors in Kerrville, Uvalde, and surrounding communities are facing another difficult recovery after July’s flooding.

Many families and organizations were still rebuilding from the devastating floods of 2025 when their communities were struck again.

There are several meaningful ways we can respond to support our neighbors.

Serve: Volunteers are urgently needed in Kerrville over the coming weeks to help clear debris, remove damaged materials, and address mold. Mo-Ranch is developing a partnership with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to house volunteer groups at a discounted rate and connect them with projects suited to their abilities.

Give: Financial gifts can support First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville’s flood-recovery program, First Presbyterian Church of Uvalde, Mo-Ranch’s volunteer-housing ministry, or Presbyterian Disaster Assistance’s long-term Texas flood recovery.

Pray: Please pray for those who have lost homes and livelihoods, for exhausted community leaders and first responders, and for all who are once again facing the long work of recovery, fostering hope and unity.

Find volunteer information, giving links, and the complete update from the Synod of the Sun.

Together, we can remind our neighbors that they are not forgotten and do not face this recovery alone.

📚🍽️ Leader & Teacher Training

This Sunday, August 9 | 12 pm | Dining Hall

If you serve with our Children's or Youth Ministries, we hope you'll join us for lunch and training after the 11 am worship service as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year!

Together we'll:
• Share ministry priorities for the year ahead
• Review child protection policies and important updates
• Go over fall schedules and plans
• Tour (or get a first look at!) our newly renovated ministry spaces and learn where everything will happen this fall

We're excited to kick off another year of serving and growing together. We can't wait to see you there!

Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black! Don’t be such a hypocrite! These phrases are tossed around in our homes, at the TV, and in our friend groups. Jesus spoke plainly and clearly about judging others, and yet, it seems as if we cannot help ourselves from doing it. [Matthew 7:1-6]

The first annual Central Texas Choir Camp at WHPC has been an incredible week of music, learning, and community! 🎶

Under the direction of Lee Ashley Fletcher, students have been learning from an outstanding faculty that includes professors from Baylor University and Texas State University, along with section leaders from some of Texas' most respected high school choral programs.

We're honored to welcome 80 students representing 15 different high schools from across the area. Thank you to every student, educator, and volunteer for making this inaugural camp such a meaningful experience. We can't wait to see how this tradition grows in the years to come!

In all of the Gospels, Jesus says that a life that follows him demands sacrifice. This week, we look at a conversation in which Jesus asks Peter whether he is willing to lay down his life for Him. We will consider how much we are willing to sacrifice as His followers. [John 13:36-38]
