Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 107:1

Greater Peace Christian Church extends sincere wishes for a meaningful Thanksgiving Day to all. We encourage everyone to enjoy this day with family and friends, reflecting not only on shared meals but also on the importance of gratitude. Let us acknowledge and give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate another Thanksgiving, recognizing that there is always much to be grateful for, even during challenging times.

God is compassionate and He is able to save us from difficulties.

Psalm 107:6, 13, 19, 28 says, “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He deliver them from their distress.”

Psalm 107 is a psalm of thanksgiving that celebrates God’s deliverance and steadfast love in delivering His people from various forms of trouble.

The psalm serves as a call for those who have been redeemed by the Lord to publicly declare their gratitude for His wonderful work and encouraging us to live with constant thankfulness and openly share stories of His steadfast love. Therefore let us give thanks to the Lord not only on today but every day.

Isaiah 5:20-21 says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

“Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!”

These two verses warn against the moral confusion that arises when society reverses the definitions of right and wrong. In our current culture, we often see values distorted and truth redefined, leading to widespread confusion and spiritual decline. The increasing tendency to redefine moral standards, presenting harmful actions as acceptable and virtuous one as negative, appears to be wildspread in America today!

If you are having a problem identifying good versus evil you need to read the Bible, God’s word. Then you will know the truth and it is that truth that know that will set you free.
