Election Day Update!

University Presbyterian Church (UPC) will serve as an Austin/Travis County Election Day polling location on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Voting will take place in the UPC Fellowship Hall, located at:
2203 San Antonio St.
Austin, TX 78705

Curbside voting will also be available in the Bevo Parking Lot at 411 W. 24th St., Austin, TX.

UPC Community Notice: 2nd Picture Day – October 25th!

UPC will be hosting our second Picture Day on Sunday, October 25th, to help update our church directory and provide congregation members with personal photos to keep.

Picture sessions will be available from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM, immediately following Sunday worship.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to update their photo for their realm accounts and help keep our church directory current. We look forward to seeing you there!

Each dozen is $25, with approximately $12 going into Manos programs which include low-cost dental care to under- and uninsured individuals, adult education classes, and emergency food and clothing relief.

What does a building mean to a community of faith? From October 18 through November 8, join us at University Presbyterian Church for a new worship series exploring the story of the Jerusalem Temple, its hopes, its challenges, and the lessons it holds for us today. In Life and in Death: Getting Ready for the Last Act Together

Everybody gets older. Everybody dies. Not everybody wants to think about it — but our tradition asks us to have the courage to plan for our own mortality: for ourselves, for our families, and for our communities. In this four-week class, Pastors David and Matt — along with some incredible outside expertise — will encourage us to think now about how we want to age well and die in good faith.

This class is formally part of the Faith & Life calendar for the fall, but is open to anyone in the congregation — particularly children of aging parents. We’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall (and on Zoom) during the Sunday School hour,

Looking for a community after college? Join us for a new gathering for young professionals, ages 18–35, centered around good food, shared recipes, and growing together.

Austin L. will be leading the first night's menu so newcomers are not required to bring anything but their appetite. Community Dinners will be meeting in the downstairs kitchen at UPC.

We’ll cook and eat together, share favorite recipes from home, and build our cooking skills along the way. Whether you’re an experienced cook or just learning your way around the kitchen, there’s a place for you at the table.

Join us every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM, beginning October 7th.

IMPORTANT!! Time and date corrections!

The South Austin Presbyterian Women of UPC will be meeting the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:30am, starting October 14th, at La Madeleine, 5943 Brodie Ln, Sunset Valley, TX 78745. We will be meeting in their back room.

*Books are now available for presbyterian women members to pick up outside of Pastor Carter’s office

World Communion Sunday | October 4

Don’t forget to join us at 10 a.m. for a special World Communion Sunday worship service at University Presbyterian Church, held jointly with University Baptist Church. Rev. Natalie Webb will be preaching.

After worship, stay for a World Communion Sunday Community Potluck in the Fellowship Hall! Bring a dish from around the world—whether it represents your own culture or simply a favorite food from another culture—to share with our community.

Following the potluck, join us for a public screening of Everyone to Kenmure Street, courtesy of Icarus Films. The nursery will be available during the screening.

No Christian Formation classes will be held on October 4.

Food may be dropped off before worship in the Fellowship Hall Kitchen or Great Hall Kitchen in the basement.

Come spend a day together at John Knox Ranch for the UPC All-Church Retreat! From 10 AM–7 PM, we’ll step away from the usual routine and enjoy a day of fellowship, fun, and community.
With outdoor activities, creative projects, games, nature, and plenty of time to catch up with friends, there’s something for everyone. Most importantly, this is a chance to slow down, come together, and enjoy time with one another—like gathering on a big front porch.
