Наступна Українська літургія місії св. Андрія Первозваного в Остині відбудеться в неділю 25-го Травня в 12:15 в каплиці св. Михаїла з о. Костянтином. Адреса: 3000 Barton Creek Blvd Austin, TX 78735 Перед Службою Божою в 11:30 рано будуть два хрещення.

Наша остання літургія перед літніми вакаціями відбудеться в неділю 8-ого червня в 11:30 на свято Зіслання Святого Духа. По літургії 8-ого червня, запрошуємо всіх приєднатеся з нами на коротку презентацію та розмову про стан, зміни, та напряму нашої місії, і дальші кроки до стану повної парафії. На зустрчі буде кава та випічка.

Christ is Risen!

The next Ukrainian liturgy of the mission of St. Andrew the First Called will be held at the chapel of St. Michael's Catholic Preparatory School with Fr. Kostyantin from Dallas, at 12:15PM on Sunday May 25. The address is 3000 Barton Creek Blvd Austin, TX 78735. The liturgy will be preceded by two baptisms which are scheduled to begin at 11:30AM.

Our last Liturgy before the summer break will be held on Sunday June 8th at 11:30. Please plan on joining us after the mass on June 8, 2025 for a short presentation and discussion on the status and direction of our mission as we advance toward becoming a parish. Coffee and pastries will be served.

It is with hope in the Resurrection which we continue to solemnly celebrate that I share with you my sadness at the death of our Holy Father Pope Francis.

Pope Francis lived a life of radical dedication to the Lord and His people, especially the poor and marginalized. He taught us to be ready to leave the sacristy, to be a poor Church for the poor. He helped to free us from clerical illusions, encouraging all of us clergy to be close, intimate, and tender with all people.

By example, he touched the untouchables, embraced those from whom many recoil, and spoke directly in an understandable language, trying to reach a world in turmoil.

He cared for the youth and all of creation. He announced the Holy Year of Mercy and the Holy Year of Hope. For many he brought God closer.

I am most grateful for his call to the world to pray for peace and justice in Ukraine. He did so hundreds of times—more so than any world leader. His summons was heard on all continents.

During my privileged personal encounters, I found the Holy Father to be open and ever-joyful despite the heavy responsibilities he carried and the intractable global problems that he faced. He preached the Joy of the Gospel—that will be his lasting legacy for the Church, for the world, and for me personally. For this I am profoundly grateful and accompany him in his last journey with my hopeful and joyful paschal prayer.

May his memory be eternal!
