The Congregational Church of Austin lives out these ideals through its worship and through small group spirituality programs that include Bible Study, a meditation group, a Christian discipleship support group, and various discussion groups dealing with contemporary issues. We are an Open and Affirming church, which means all people who love Christ are welcome to participate in our worship life and ministry. Our outreach ministry includes ministry to the homeless and a variety of justice advocacy projects. We work closely with LifeWorks Street Outreach to provide a daily drop-in center for homeless youth. In conjunction with Micah 6 Ministries, we offer freeze-night shelter in the winter. We also work with Austin Interfaith, the Workers Defense Project, the Equal Justice Center, Texas Impact, and the Interfaith Environmental Network on issues involving worker justice, fair and just immigration reform, and environmental justice.
