A message from Fr. Craig:
I want to first say thank you for the joy and community you helped create at the Festival–Jamaica.
A few moments especially captured that for us:
- Seeing tables move their flower centerpieces out of the way at the Gala because people wanted to be able to see one another better and talk across the table.
- Seeing parishioners, school families, staff, and volunteers working side by side —
- Children running around comfortably, parents connecting with one another, and more than a few kids who were not ready to go home!
- The crossover between parts of the community who don’t otherwise spend a lot of time together.
Festival-Jamaica certainly supports the mission of St. Louis financially, but it also does something harder to measure: it gives us the opportunity to know one another, serve together, laugh together, and experience the joy of belonging to this community.
Thank you to everyone who worked, volunteered, attended, donated, danced, invited someone else onto the dance floor, or simply came and enjoyed being together. You made Festival-Jamaica what it was.

Primero quiero darles las gracias por la alegría y el sentido de comunidad que ayudaron a crear en el Festival–Jamaica.
Hubo algunos momentos que lo reflejaron especialmente bien:
* Ver cómo algunas mesas movían sus centros de mesa con flores para poder verse mejor y conversar con las personas al otro lado de la mesa.
* Ver a feligreses, familias de la escuela, empleados y voluntarios trabajando juntos, hombro a hombro.
* Ver a los niños corriendo y disfrutando con confianza, a los padres conviviendo, ¡y a más de un niño que no estaba listo para irse a casa!
* Ver cómo personas de distintas partes de nuestra comunidad, que normalmente no pasan mucho tiempo juntas.
El Festival–Jamaica ciertamente apoya económicamente la misión de San Luis, pero también hace algo más difícil de medir: nos brinda la oportunidad de conocernos, servir juntos, reír juntos y experimentar la alegría de pertenecer a esta comunidad.
Gracias a todos los que trabajaron, fueron voluntarios, asistieron, donaron, bailaron, invitaron a alguien más a la pista de baile o simplemente vinieron a disfrutar de estar juntos. Ustedes hicieron posible lo que fue el Festival–Jamaica.
