Today's message: history of the Christmas date (March, April 15, 20, 21, May 20 & finally Dec 25) & keep the Christmas message year-round - a la Scrooge at the end of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol." Join us for Christmas in July w/red & green themed treats from Kara. Why now? Christmas was observed in April & May (just to name 2 months) before it was set in December, 100’s of years after the birth of Jesus. The Bible doesn’t set a birthday for the Christ child & Dec 25th wasn’t originally chosen to offset Winter festivals – hint: Mary & Elizabeth. Come & celebrate the “reason for the season” without the pressures of decorations, presents, lights or getting the holiday dinners just right.

Our organized mess is coming together as we prepare for our Silent Auction. Here’s a sneak peak, with more being added tomorrow before we start at 1pm. We have more than 40 items to bid on. There’s something for everyone; from antiques and vintage jewelry, to gift baskets, housewares, homemade trinkets, and quilts. Bidding ends at 3pm and take your items with you. Cash and check accepted.
