Smyrna has been home to Cumberland Community Church since 2000. During this time, the economic and social landscape of Smyrna has been continually changing and growing, necessitating a changing approach by caring organizations, agencies, and churches who help meet the needs of the community. As we at Cumberland realized that one organization or many independent organizations could not meet all the
needs of a growing and diverse community, we recognized that our vision for the property at 3110 Sports Avenue had to change. After much thought and prayer, we concluded that the building’s primary use should be that of a community center for the common good, and so The Collective at Cumberland, “A Partnership for Change,” was born. Career Restoration
Career Restoration assists people with the skills and opportunities needed to be successful in work and life. This will be accomplished in three ways. Career counseling helps identify career goals and build steps to accomplish those goals; skills training identifies and addresses gaps in skills needed for employment; networking connects job-seekers with individuals and organizations to generate job opportunities. The computer lab is available during business hours for clients who need internet access to apply for jobs, create resumes or sign up for community programs. Kamileon’s Kloset
