A beautiful Holy Saturday tradition at St. Joseph Parish.

Families gather with baskets filled with bread, eggs, and simple gifts, bringing with them their hopes, their prayers, and their homes.

Each basket tells a story. Each family carries something meaningful.

As the blessing is given, it reminds us that faith is not just something we experience in church. It goes with us. It sits at our tables. It lives in our homes.

This is what makes our parish special. Generations coming together. Traditions passed on. Faith lived in real life.

Come as you are. There is a place for you here.

Later that day, the Church gathers again.

The Good Friday service is simple. Quiet. Heavy.

No Mass. Just the Cross.

And once again, the Knights are there, helping guide the flow, creating space for prayer, standing in support of something greater than themselves.

From the streets to the sanctuary, they never step away.

This is where it becomes real.

Members of the Knights of Columbus take on the roles of Jesus, the soldiers, and Pontius Pilate.

They carry the cross. They walk the road. They help bring the Passion to life so others can feel it, not just hear it.

It is not acting.

It is witness.

Good Friday on the east side of Aurora is something you have to experience.

Thousands gather for one of the largest living Stations of the Cross outside of Chicago.

Led by Bishop David Malloy, multiple parishes come together as one Church.

And right in the middle of it all, the Knights.

They do not just attend. They become part of the story.

After Mass, the church grows quiet.

The Blessed Sacrament is placed at the altar of repose, and parishioners come to pray.

And there they are.

The Knights take their place in silent watch, guarding the garden just as the disciples were called to do. Through the night, they remain, not for recognition, but out of love.

It is one of the most powerful images of Holy Week. Faith that stays.

Holy Thursday begins quietly, but it carries the weight of everything that follows.

At St. Joseph Parish, the Knights of Columbus step forward in a simple but powerful way. Present. Reverent. Serving.

They assist at Mass, help create a space of dignity, and stand as a reminder that faith is not something we watch, it is something we live.

As the altar is prepared and the Eucharist is celebrated, they are there, steady and faithful.
