John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus didnt come to condemn (criticize, find fault with). He came to save.

Pain is not authorized to destroy us. Pain is authorized to make us. Pain produces power.
God is more concerned with our development than he is with our comfort. -T.F.Tenney

The last sentence in this verse is very interesting. Listen closely church folks.....

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35 KJV

Live goodness and light and love, don't just say it.

Don't let snooty church folk and corrupt pastors steer you away from who God really is. Even Jesus got furious at shady church practices.

Matthew 21:13 and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

What are your thoughts?
If I can get a prayer answered by following steps, or praying a certain way or doing a certain thing, that would be from works that I had done, correct?
If that's true, that blessings, or answers or solutions all come from my works, than what was Jesus's life for?
Jesus came to finish the work. To be the answer. To complete the task that I was not able to.
Does that mean I have no part to play?
Absolutely not. I pray, I seek, I trust, I try, I listen, I obey.
Does He favor one person more because he followed the 5 step program or prayed eloquently or read 5 chapters of the bible a day?
Or does He offer favor to the lost and clueless that have no idea what to do, but they trust in Him.
Seriously. What are your thoughts?

God doesn't always show up when WE want Him to. In fact, HE is rarely on OUR schedule. We either believe or not. Trusting God when things aren't going right is the true test of faith.

I've been praying the last few days for something real inspirational and encouraging to post and I'm not getting a thing!
Believe it or not, even though my faith is strong, I have rough patches. I doubt, I stumble, I lose hope.
I don't want your sympathy, your pity or even your attention, I need your prayers!
The struggle is real and life can be hard but God is good all the time! I'm praying for you too!

Ya know, us Christians sure can be critical and judgemental. I am definitely guilty.
We can look at others that don’t believe like us and accuse them of false doctrine or assume their denomination is wrong.
They don’t sing the same church music we sing.
They don’t raise their hands in worship like we do.
They believe the sabbath is on a different day.
They cuss or drink or live with someone they aren’t married to.
If we focus on all these things, we are missing the most important things like their heart, their spirit, their past, their motives, their future.
When Jesus was called to judge the lady caught in adultery, He didn’t point out all of her flaws or her past or her beliefs. He showed her grace and mercy and forgiveness.
Let's follow HIS example.
We never know what someone is dealing with. Trust me, I hide things I’m going through all the time and I know most people do as well.
Never judge a book by it’s cover. Take time to put yourself in their shoes.
You might just see their heart.
Let Jesus move through you to be a light in the darkness, not a judgmental glare.

I Surrender All. A song most of us have sung multiple times. It sounds good. “All to Jesus, I surrender, I surrender all.” But do we really mean that? Would we really give up ALL? Every dream, every hope, every idea of how we would like our life to be?
Or the worship song, “Oceans” that says, “You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail.” “Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me” and the clincher, “Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander, And my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior.”
I think of this often. Would I give up on the dream to be a mother? Would I give up on the dream of not living paycheck to paycheck? Would I walk away from luxuries like electricity, or hot water, or TV or cars or grocery stores filled with all types of food? Would I really surrender it all if Jesus asked me to follow HIM like the disciples did?
I’m not saying Jesus would ask me to walk away from all of those things. He probably wouldn’t. But is that where the secret lies? In truly surrendering ALL and finding peace and contentment in whatever my life turns out to be? After years of praying for things that don’t seem to be happening, do you let go of all those hopes and dreams and prayers? Or do you “fight the good fight of faith” and never let go of what you would like to have?
What do you think?
