Today was a very emotional and joyful day as we witnessed the graduation of Dr. Daniel Jemal from the University of Gondar Medical School. 🙏🎓
Twenty years ago, Daniel was one of the first children supported by Hand of God Ministries in Gondar, Ethiopia. Back then, no one could fully imagine the journey ahead — the struggles, the prayers, the sacrifices, the seasons of uncertainty, and the miracles of God along the way. Today, by God’s grace, that little boy has become a doctor.
This moment is not only Daniel’s achievement. It is also the fruit of twenty years of faithful service, love, sacrifice, and obedience to God through John R. Mustian and Hand of God Ministries. Year after year, John traveled from Colorado to Ethiopia — sometimes twice a year — simply to stand with vulnerable children and families, believing that God could change lives through consistent love and faithfulness.
Through difficult times, including poverty, political unrest, and even the COVID pandemic that interrupted education for a full year, God remained faithful. Daniel’s journey to becoming a physician took eight years at medical school, but the story behind the diploma is much deeper: it is a testimony of compassion lived out in action.
We also remember with gratitude all the partners, friends, sponsors, and prayer supporters of Hand of God Ministries who, in one way or another, became part of this beautiful story. Some gave financially, others prayed, encouraged, visited, mentored, or simply loved these children as their own. Your labor in the Lord has not been in vain.
Today we praise God because we have seen with our own eyes that when love is planted faithfully for many years, it bears fruit in its season. 🌱❤️
