⛪ Exciting Progress at Aurora First Christian Church!
We here at Aurora First Christian Church are proud to share the progress being made on our new roof by Crown Royal Builders!
This has been a much bigger project than simply replacing a roof. Because of the age of our historic church, the old slate roofing tiles contained asbestos and had to be professionally removed. The asbestos abatement process alone took nearly two weeks to complete safely and properly.
With that important work now behind us, we’re excited to see the next stage underway. The new shingles are going on today!
Here are a few photos showing the progress so far. It’s wonderful to see our church moving forward and this historic building being cared for so it can continue serving our congregation and community for many years to come.
A big thank-you to Crown Royal Builders and everyone who has helped make this project possible. We’ll continue sharing updates as the work progresses! Also like to add that we finally got that big limb removed from over the church.
