Today we honor the fathers, grandfathers, godfathers in our parish family who give so generously of themselves in love and service.

Fatherhood is a sacred calling — one that reflects the heart of God the Father, who watches over each of us with patience, mercy, and unconditional love. Through their example of strength, sacrifice, and faith, fathers help shape the hearts of the next generation.

To every father in our community: thank you for the quiet acts of love, the lessons taught by example, and the faith you pass on each day. May God bless you abundantly today and always.

We also remember in prayer the fathers who are no longer with us, and those who long to be fathers — may they feel God's presence and peace.

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him." — Psalm 103:13

Happy Father's Day!!! 🙏

Faith is not simply knowing facts about God. Faith is placing our lives in His hands. Faith is believing that Christ is present even when circumstances seem hopeless. Faith is continuing to pray even when answers are delayed. Faith is trusting that God's love remains with us in times of joy and in times of suffering.

God knows why He put you exactly where you are now.

A spectacular light show and fireworks display concluded the historic blessing of the Tower of Jesus Christ by Pope Leo XIV at Barcelona’s Sagrada Família.
In the night sky, hundreds of drones formed the image of Antoni Gaudí gazing upon the completion of the great work envisioned by “God’s Architect,” before revealing one of his most famous principles: “First, love; then, technique.” The full quote reads: “To do things well, two things are necessary: first, love; second, technique.” For Gaudí, great works begin not with skill, but with love—for God, for beauty, and for others. The fireworks that followed were a fitting tribute to a dream fulfilled a century after his death.

Today, on Memorial Day, we gather in prayer, gratitude, and remembrance.
At St. Michael Cemetery, surrounded by the resting places of our loved ones, we honored the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free. It is preserved through courage, duty, and love of country.
We are especially grateful for the presence of the members of the Roosevelt-Aurora American Legion Post 84, whose continued dedication helps keep alive the memory of those who served with honor.
As Christians, we believe that death is not the end. Christ Himself conquered death through His Resurrection, giving us hope in eternal life.
So today let us all ask the Lord to grant them rest among the saints.
May we never forget the price that was paid for peace and liberty. And may we, through lives of faith, compassion, and unity, become worthy of the sacrifices made before us.
May God bless our veterans, our military families, our community, and the United States of America. Eternal memory to all who have departed this life in service and faith. Amen!
With prayers,
Fr. Remus

On this blessed Feast of Pentecost, may the Holy Spirit descend upon our hearts as He descended upon the Apostles — bringing peace, wisdom, courage, and renewed faith.
In the beauty of our Byzantine Catholic tradition, we rejoice today in the life-giving Spirit who renews the Church and unites us in Christ.
“ Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, come and dwell within us.”
Blessed Pentecost to all!
