We have the honor and privilege of supporting two amazing young people in Nicaragua, Santiago and Mildred! We can't believe how big they're getting. Each week we take up an offer offering that provides for their educational needs. Our mission team was able to visit them during their time. ❤️

We are excited to announce and welcome our new Director of Youth Ministry, Brian Nesbit!

Hello 3C Youth Community!

I am incredibly blessed and honored by the opportunity to partner alongside you all. I am praying for joyful fellowship as we enter into this next season with each other! I look forward to meeting you in just under five weeks. In the meantime, here is a little bit about myself.

I have been walking with Jesus for seventeen years now, first accepting Christ as my Savior in the back of my mom's car after listening to her give her testimony. I have been in love with youth ministry since I began serving in eighth grade. Throughout my time serving, both as a volunteer and paid staff, I have only gained a deeper love for students and constantly find myself in awe of how Jesus meets them and uses them for His kingdom. My heart aches for students to know they're loved, valued, known, and capable. I can't wait to share more of my heart with you and to hear yours.

At heart, I am an introvert. I enjoy reading, writing, playing the four Chris Tomlin chords I know on guitar, and playing drums. I also deeply value community, both old and new. While I love my alone time to recharge, it is my deepest joy to sing, yell, and become the embodiment of a kid when with students. When with friends, you can find me at a beloved restaurant, on a walk or hike, or wandering around downtown Denver.

Again, I am so excited to meet you and meet students. I am a huge coffee person, and I'd love nothing more than to get to know you while we caffeinate. See you soon!

…though not the King of Kings, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) was the unofficial leader of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 60s, accomplishing progress in racial equality through protests, sit-ins, boycotts, marches, and other non-violent forms of protest.

He epitomized our Savior’s Sermon on the Mount, preaching once in a sermon called “Loving Your Enemies” the famous quote: “Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

The Bible teaches us that Jesus understands our pain and stands with us in it. In Isaiah 53:3, it says Jesus was a “man of suffering and familiar with pain.” And in John 11:33-35, we read that Jesus cried with Mary and Martha when He saw their pain over the death of their brother, Lazarus.

He is with us in our pain, too. If you need any prayer or support we can offer, reach out to us. Wr love you.

There’s nothing we would rather do than share meals and tell stories and laughter until we cry and scream encouragement while we conquer fears and have diving competitions and win at mini-golf and pretend to be Katniss Everdeen and eat s’mores and play charades and worship together and learn together and be family together. There’s a seat at the table for you. A perfect mountain weekend. 💕

Tonight was the First Annual 3CYouth Leader Consecration and Prayer service. Your leaders gathered together to reflect on the forthcoming ministry year and pray for you, your families, and each other. We’re so excited about what’s coming!

Remember that we launch the new ministry year on September 7 (middle school) and September 11 (high school), both at 6pm. Remember: parents need to be at the Launch Party too!
