The Weekly Word is "Power of My Words!"

Psalm 19:14 “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord my Rock and my Redeemer.”

When I surrender my words to God, He shapes my words to bring life, healing, and encouragement. Let my conversations reflect His Words and His Power, I choose to honor Him with my Words. Let your Words flow through my lips to shower blessing into the life of others.

Peace with God means our consciences are cleared (Hebrews 10:22; Titus 3:5). The overwhelming weight of guilt that plagued us all is gone, placed on Jesus on the cross (Colossians 2:14; 1 Peter 2:24). The shame that we rightly felt for the wicked deeds we had done was carried by Jesus. God the Father adopts us as His own children and invites us to “come boldly before the throne of grace” to commune with Him and ask for what we need (Hebrews 4:16). For the Christian, maintaining a sense of peace with God means we keep our ongoing sins and failures confessed (1 John 1:9). We don’t have to keep confessing in order to establish peace with God; Jesus did that at the cross when we believed. Truly born-again people live in ongoing attitudes of repentance so that no sin will take root to defile them again (John 3:3; Romans 6:1–4). Unconfessed sin mars the joyful fellowship between a child of God and his Father.

Peace with God also allows the Christian to live without fear of death or eternity. Our hope is secure in the knowledge that Jesus has done all that was necessary to make us right with God (Matthew 5:17; John 3:16–18). Our last breath on earth will be our first breath in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:6–8; Luke 16:22). The Holy Spirit has been given to us like a promise ring, a certainty that a greater event will surely take place (2 Corinthians 1:22; 5:5). Right now, the Holy Spirit lives within us to guide, convict, comfort, and remind us of Jesus’ completed sacrifice on our behalf (John 14:16–17; 16:8–11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; Ephesians 1:13–14).

Maintain Peace with God

Maintaining peace with God requires consistent, daily focus. It involves rooting your identity in your faith, relying on prayer, and regularly releasing your anxieties.

If we want God's peace, we must trust God's purpose. Even when things don't make sense, we must trust God's purpose. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths" (Prov. 3:5-6).

God took the initiative in pursuing peace with us by sending His Son to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life, His crucifixion paid for the sins of all who would trust in Him (Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21), and His resurrection guarantees our justification before God (Romans 4:25). Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), and He is the One who gives us peace with God. That’s why the message of salvation in Christ is called the “gospel of peace” (Ephesians 6:15).

Although Jesus has ascended into heaven, the disciples didn’t have to wait long before the Holy Spirit stepped onto the scene on Pentecost Sunday. 50 days after Resurrection Sunday, the next era of God’s kingdom stepped onto the scene. Let’s take a look at what happened in Acts 2.

Acts 2:1-4: “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a]as the Spirit enabled them.”

The passage goes on to say that they had a chance to speak to the people, and thousands believed and gave their lives to Christ that day.

Dear Heavenly Father, over 2000 years ago, you inaugurated the church by having the Holy Spirit indwell in your believers. We rejoice that you have allowed us, men and women, Jew and Gentile, to experience new life. We have the opportunity to experience that same power in our lives. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit, our comforter, and He brings conviction to our hearts, He leads and guides our ways, and so many other things. Fill us, protect us, seal us, and deliver us. That we may continue to celebrate this day until you return again. Holy Ghost fill us and touch us again. Amen.

The Weekly Word is God’s Light Shines!

21st Week 05/24 – 05/30

John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

The brightness of God’s light always shines for us no matter how life feels or how darkness tries to overcome the light. God’s light is steady, unshakable, and His presence is always in the light. No fear or uncertainty can stop His promise to always shine. He is with us, surrounding us with peace and hope. We are never alone.

Prayer – Almighty God help me remember Your promise and place, my trust in Your unshakable presence is greater than darkness.

Embracing the new with God means trusting His timing, letting go of past seasons, and stepping into unchartered territory with faith. It is a daily surrender that trades fear of the unknown for the peace and purpose found in new beginnings.

1. Let Go of the Past - You cannot step into a new season while clutching the old one. Moving forward requires forgiving yourself for past mistakes and releasing what no longer serves your spiritual growth.

The Promise: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" (Isaiah 43:18-19).

2. Embrace the Uncomfortable - God often calls us out of our comfort zones to build our faith. Acknowledge that change can be intimidating, but trust that God goes before you to guide your steps and clear the path.

The Promise: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6).

3. Rely on Daily Grace - You do not need to figure out the whole future at once. God provides fresh grace, mercy, and strength every single morning to help you navigate your current season.

The Promise: "Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23).

4. Stay Rooted in Prayer - Commune with God daily to discern what He is currently doing in your life. Prayer transforms your perspective, allowing you to view transitions as exciting preparations rather than punishments

The Weekly Word is Embrace the New!

20th Week 05/17 – 05/23

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Just as the trees let go, trusting in the rhythm of the seasons, we too can release what no longer serves us, knowing that God is always preparing something new.

Prayer – Father God, help me embrace change with faith, trusting that You are working in every season of my life.
