We are grateful and very blessed to have this opportunity to gather together and be in dialogue with this incredible panel of grandmothers, relatives and collaborators. This closing session of Listen to the Grandmothers: Meeting Challenging Times will draw upon the wisdom gained from the depth of their life experiences so that at this time we can find the hope, inner light and courage to invite solutions to meet this new time.

During the last nine months we have had an incredible opportunity to visit with our beloved Grandmothers and their families. We have grown together and supported one another as a community with a mutual mission to uphold and learn from the wisdom and traditions of our elders. We have recognized the power of interconnection, loving communication and embracing differences. We have awakened parts of ourselves and have come to know that all is related and ‘we are all related’.

“Calling All Grand Mothers” from the book Hard Times Require Furious Dancing by Alice Walker. Ms. Walker will be will joining the Grandmothers for this very special gathering and panel discussion.
