‼️‼️‼️Zechariah 3:1–8
“A Burning Stick Snatched from the Fire”

The Holy Spirit prompted a change of topic — from [the original message] to the power of divine vindication.

There are seasons when everything we have is on fire, and we wonder what the way out is. That fire can be caused by so many things — our own mistakes, spiritual opposition, and more. In Colorado, fire is not strange to us.

Fire consumes. Fire burns. Fire destroys.

But the good news is this: in Zechariah chapter 3, we’re reminded of a God who specializes in pulling people out of the burning fire. He snatches His own out of the flames.

When the enemy makes it look like we’re finished, God says, “Not yet.”

• The enemy sees hope, gone. God sees a future.
• When we come out of the fire — while it’s still burning — the enemy reminds us of the stains. God reminds us of the changed garment He’s already working on us.

Zechariah 3:1 — Satan was standing at his right hand to accuse him. The enemy is there to make the mess visible — the chaos, the soot, the smell of smoke.

The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is this not a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

When you have been taken out — even if the fire is still burning around you — it’s a reminder that God is not yet done. The fire may change you, but it does not destroy you.

Notice what God does not say: He doesn’t say Joshua’s clothes weren’t filthy. He doesn’t say the fire isn’t burning. He acknowledges all of it. The fire can burn, but it doesn’t have the final say.

The fire may change you, but it does not destroy you!

Beloved of God, as we come to the close of August, let us pause and thank God for His unfailing faithfulness. Through every joy, challenge, provision, and answered prayer, the Lord has carried us, protected us, and sustained us. Truly, His mercies have been new every morning, and great is His faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22–23).

As believers, let us remember that everything we have experienced in August is a testimony of God’s grace. We may not have seen all the answers we desired, but God has remained faithful. Let us enter the coming month with renewed faith, knowing that the God who has been faithful to us in August will continue to lead, provide, strengthen, and fulfill His purposes in our lives.

To God be all the glory!

God bless you!

Pastor Samuel — Consecrating the Altar of Worship
1 Kings 18 | Romans 12:1

What is an altar? An altar is a place where we meet and commune with God. Romans 12:1 reminds us to present ourselves to God as a living sacrifice.

If there is one altar we must build, it is the altar of our hearts. When the altar of our hearts is right before God, we can bring our prayers, worship, and sacrifices before Him.

Many storms may come our way. They may leave us angry, bitter, questioning God, or saying things we should not say. But our storms do not change who God is. He is still worthy of our honor, humility, and reverence.
Just as Elijah repaired the broken altar in 1 Kings 18, we are being called to examine and repair our own altar.

Question to ponder:
What part of our altar needs repair? What area of our hearts does God need to change, restore, or bring back into alignment with Him?

Let us rebuild the altar of our hearts and allow God to reign again.

Welcome back, Pastor Samuel! 🤍

Pastor Lexi reminded us today that this difficult season is a part of Imani’s story, but it is not the whole story. God has carried us through uncertainty, He has remained faithful, and the God who brought us this far is not going to drop us now.

As we step into this next chapter together, we are grateful to welcome you back, Pastor Samuel.
God has been faithful. God is good. And we will serve the Lord! 🙏🏾
