🎯 THIS IS WHAT COMMUNITY LOOKS LIKE!

Our Man Cave Purpose Group hit the gun range this morning, and the guys had an incredible time!

But here’s what we love most about moments like this. It’s not just about the activity. It’s about the brotherhood being built along the way. 💪🏾

Men getting together. Building friendships. Strengthening relationships. Creating space for encouragement, accountability, and growth.

This is why we believe so strongly in the power of community!

At Purpose City Church, we’re not just a church that HAS Purpose Groups. We’re a church OF Purpose Groups!

Because we believe discipleship doesn’t just happen on Sundays. It happens when we do life together.

Whether it’s gathering around Scripture, sharing a meal, having meaningful conversations, or spending a Saturday morning at the range, we’re creating opportunities for people to connect and grow together.

But what if He’s already working through something you’ve dismissed as ordinary?

A conversation. An unexpected introduction. Someone who took the time to listen.

In Acts 23, God cared for Paul through the actions of an ordinary person whose name we aren’t even told.

Don’t overlook what God can do through the people and moments right in front of you.

Before there was a Purpose City Church, there was a vision. 🙌🏾

A church that looked like heaven on earth. People from different races, generations, backgrounds, and walks of life coming together under one name. JESUS.

An army of believers, coming from the north, south, east, and west, united in faith and equipped to advance God's Kingdom.

That was the vision God placed in the hearts of Pastor Talaat and Prophetess Tai.

And three years later, we're watching God bring it to life right before our eyes.

Every Sunday, we're reminded that this isn't something we could have accomplished on our own. We said YES to God, and He's been faithful to do exactly what He promised.

And the beautiful thing is, He's not finished yet!

To everyone who has been part of this journey, YOU are part of the vision. And to those who haven't found their church home yet, there's a place for you here. ❤️

You can trust God and still ask for help.

You can believe He is working and still have that difficult conversation.

You can pray about the future and still make a wise decision today.

Faith was never meant to become an excuse for doing nothing.

When Paul learned about the threat against his life, he didn’t abandon what Jesus had told him. He took action using what was available.

Your next step may be more practical than you expected.

Life has a way of pouring you out. Be intentional about what pours back in. ☕️

Time with God.
Scripture.
Prayer.
Sunday worship.
Purpose Groups.
Serving.
Finding family.

These are more than boxes to check. They are rhythms that help keep us rooted, connected, refreshed, and growing.

So here’s the question.

What has been filling your cup lately, and what do you need to make more room for this week?

Jesus encouraged Paul one night. By the next morning, people were plotting to kill him.

Imagine waking up to circumstances that seem to contradict what Jesus just told you.

But the story wasn’t over.

God’s care became evident through an ordinary conversation, Paul’s willingness to act, and people who helped him reach safety.

Maybe your circumstances haven’t changed the way you hoped.

Don’t confuse a difficult moment with the absence of God.

Keep trusting His Word. Pay attention to what He’s placed within reach. Take the next faithful step.

You can have faith AND get help. 🙌🏾

You can trust God and go to the doctor.

You can believe God for a financial breakthrough and make a budget.

You can pray for your marriage and go to counseling.

Taking action doesn't cancel God's promise. Sometimes, it's part of walking it out.

Faith is not passive.

What if God is already working, but you’ve been looking for Him in the wrong places?

Sometimes we expect the miracle to be dramatic. Fire from heaven. A sudden breakthrough. An obvious sign.

But sometimes God moves through a conversation. An email. A connection. A doctor. A counselor. A decision. A step that was already within reach.

In this week’s message, “Look Again,” Pastor Talaat McNeely walks through Acts 23 and shows us how God’s providence can be working even when His hand is not obvious. Paul had a promise from Jesus, but the next morning everything looked like it was moving in the opposite direction. God was still working.

Maybe you’re not where you want to be yet. But look again.

You’re not where you used to be either.

Before you ask God for the next thing, take a moment and thank Him for the last thing.

Today was one of those Sundays you had to experience in the room. 🙌🏾🔥

From the first moment of worship to what God was doing throughout the sanctuary, His presence was undeniable. People were worshiping. Families were growing. Our kids were learning the Word. Our teams were serving with excellence. And all across Purpose City, God was meeting people right where they were.

There are some Sundays you can recap with pictures.

Then there are Sundays where the pictures only make you wish you had been there.

Today was one of those. ❤️‍🔥
