Not because they heard something brand new, but because they finally heard the truth about something they have been quietly carrying for a long time.

Yesterday's Father's Day message spoke directly to everyone who has been doing exactly what God told them to do... and still cannot figure out why the hits keep coming.

What an absolutely UNFORGETTABLE Sunday at Purpose City Church! 🔥🙌🏾

Today we showed up, worshipped with everything we had, celebrated the incredible fathers in our community, and left completely CHANGED by the power of God’s Word.

Our worship team led us into the presence of God and reminded us that He is forever worthy. The atmosphere was electric from the moment the service began.

Then Pastor Talaat brought a word straight from Acts 14 that we did not see coming. He preached “The Anatomy of Endurance” and challenged every single one of us to stop measuring our calling by the smoothness of the road and start trusting the authority of the One who called us. 🔑

If you walked in feeling bruised today, we want you to know: your bruises are not proof of your disqualification. They are proof of your assignment. The enemy does not throw stones at people who are not threats. Keep going. 💪🏾

And to every father who was in the room today, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! 🎉 We celebrated YOU, and we meant every bit of it. From the new dads holding their babies for the first time, to the veterans who have been doing this for decades, to the grandfathers who carry the legacy, to the stepfathers who show up like it is all they know, YOU are seen, YOU are honored, and what you do MATTERS.

This is what Purpose City Church is all about. Honor God. Love People. Find Family. Fulfill Purpose.

You can’t grab the keys if you haven’t passed the test.

Just like you wouldn’t step into a new season without preparation, God doesn’t release what you’re not ready to carry.

He uses the waiting to shape your character, strengthen your faith, and prepare your hands for what He’s already planned.

So while you’re waiting, keep growing, because when God opens the door, you won’t be scrambling… you’ll be ready to walk right in and roll with purpose.

This past Saturday, the men of Man Cave 3.0 laced up their shoes and hit the trail together for a 3.25-mile hike. No agenda. No pressure. Just men from Purpose City Church doing life together the way God intended.

That right there? That is what Purpose Groups are all about.

Led by Arnel Hammond and Chris Chambliss, Man Cave 3.0 is living proof that community is not a luxury. It is a necessity. We were never designed to walk this journey alone, and these men are not just attending church together. They are building something real.

Even Pastor Talaat was out on the trail with them, because around here, we do not just preach community from a stage. We actually live it.

And they are not done. This Saturday, the men of Man Cave 3.0 are taking it to the next level and heading out on a fishing trip with their sons and daughters in honor of Father’s Day weekend. Brotherhood turning into legacy right before our eyes.

But here is what we need you to hear...this is not just a men’s thing. Purpose Groups at Purpose City Church exist for men, women, couples, and singles. Whatever season you are in, there is a group for you.

If you have been watching from the sidelines, wondering what it would feel like to actually belong somewhere and to do life with people who are rooted in the same faith and moving in the same direction, this is your sign.

There is a massive difference between a worker trying to earn a paycheck and a child who inherits the kingdom.

Yesterday, we unpacked a beautiful truth from Acts 13. Your calling is not a burden of self-righteousness or a heavy list of rules you have to get right to make God happy. This is fundamentally a message of sonship.

“When you say, ‘Jesus, come into my life,’ you are now a child of God. That comes with rights. That comes with a position.”

When you understand your identity as a son or daughter of the King, your obedience shifts from obligation to pure love. You stop trying to perform for his presence, and you start preparing in his presence.
