Well things are coming along for Saturday. We're hoping to get the final touches completed by tomorrow afternoon.

We made the front page of the Mesabi Daily News this past week in honor of our Centennial celebration. If you didn't catch it, there also was an article in the Hometown Focus about our church.

Some of the items for the celebration are being tweaked and not exactly like we envisioned but most likely exactly what we need.

We do hope you'll find time to come join us! 10 AM to 2 PM Saturday, August 15. See you!

Well friends, our celebration is starting to come together!

Elliot Shoemacher from Aurora has finished painting our church and he has done a beautiful job!

Our caterer is putting the final touches on the menu and it is starting to sound delicious!

I am sure the Hutter Bunch is picking out a bunch of songs and practicing so they can entertain the crowd.

We haven't decided if we'll have a fishing pond for the youngsters, don't worry no fish will be harmed or given away mom and dad, or if we are going to go with a pull the string kind of prize.

Our cups, pens, and bags are being printed and should be here the tail end of this week or next week for our giveaways.

Gerry Kangas, our informal historian, and I have completed our interview with the Hometown Focus, it should be published in a couple of weeks, so keep an eye out.

If you have pictures of loved ones being confirmed, baptized, married, or just being part of the crowd at church: please bring them. We will have an area set up where people can walk-through and see if they know anybody 😄

This is the first time we have tried something this extravagant in about 100 years, so keep us in your prayers that it's a success.

Just a reminder: we will be celebrating our 100th anniversary August 15.

Pictures of the church, weddings, confirmations, youth groups, etc. are welcomed!

It might surprise us just how many people we know or know of have been through the doors of our church.

This August we will be celebrating our 100th Anniversary.

As our little Church has been around for so long, we are looking for pictures and stories of you or your family's connections to our Church.

Please message us your stories for display during our celebration.

We will have a date in August (so far we are thinking August 15) by the end of the month.

Thank you!
100th Anniversary Committee

In light of the snow that we have had over the past 12 hours or so combined with a light glaze of ice under the snow, we will not be having our Ash Wednesday service today.

Some of us are still without electricity at this time, but we have a roof over our heads and are protected from the wind and cold. Let's hope the storm passes quickly and we are able to dig out safely with no injuries.

As much as we look forward to getting together on Sunday mornings to worship, after reviewing the revised forecast for low temperatures by tomorrow morning, we will not be having church tomorrow.

Please stay safe, stay warm, and save your hugs for us until next week! We love you.
