Our May activity was fishing, the boys caught lots of bass. A big thank you to our friend Luke Fitzpatrick for letting us fish in his stock ponds. If you're looking for bass to put in your pond, he's your guy.

Our scripture focus for May was: Mark 1:16-17 "One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”"

We talked about how Jesus uses men from all walks of life, with all kinds of skills, experiences, and pasts to spread the gospel.

Welcome to Bethel Baptist's Kids Outdoor Zone page. We are a local chapter of a national men's ministry outreach that provides an opportunity for fathers to spend time in outdoor activities with their sons as well as for boys who would benefit from time with a positive male role model. All of our mentors are Godly men who have answered the call to serve. They have completed training specific to mentoring boys as well as specialized training and screening for working with minors.

Every month, usually on the 2nd Saturday morning, we go on an outdoor adventure or some other manly adventure where we share the gospel with the boys and teach them a new skill.

If you know of a boy between 8 and 18 who could benefit from some off-screen, outdoor time while learning more about God and how a Godly man carries himself, please reach out for more details.
