Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray (Psalm 5:1-2).
For The Rest Of My Life, I'll Serve Him, For The Rest Of My Life...
The message today was taken from the book of Judges, the 2nd chapter, verses 1-5. Focus verse 2. "And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land: ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?" Subject: Why Have You Done This?
There are moments in life when God confronts us with a question that exposes the condition of our hearts. There are times when God's voice breaks through our excuses, our traditions, our distractions, and our compromises and asks us something that we cannot avoid. In Judges chapter 2, the children of Israel are confronted by the Angel of the Lord with a divine question: "Why have you done this?"
This is not a question because God lacks information. This is not a question because heaven is confused. God asks the question because He wants His people to confront themselves. And today, that same question still echoes through the sanctuary.
Why have you abandoned your prayer life? Why have you compromised your convictions? Why have you allowed culture to become louder than Christ? Why have you accepted what God told you to destroy? Why have you done this?
Highlights: The Whys...Judges 2:1-5.
1. They Forgot what God Had Done.
2. They Became Comfortable With Compromise.
3. They Refused To Fully Obey God's Voice.
4. They Allowed The Enemy To Stay Too Close.
Why Have You Done This?...
Praise the Lord!!!
