I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. O taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in him (Psalm 34:4 & 8).

I Sought The Lord And He Heard And He Answered...

The message today was delivered by Rev. Dr. Maggie McDonald. Text: Ezra, the 4th chapter, verses 1-5. Focus verse 5. "And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose..." Subject: Overcoming Opposition: Keep Building.

Oftentimes our assignment brings on opposition. When you are pursuing your purpose opposition is inevitable. It is your responsibility to not allow anything to disrupt your assignment or your purpose. We are to be careful of help dressed up as concern, but in fact has ill intentions. This type of help will only hinder your progress.

We must realize that everyone that offers help is not sent to actually help. Building in the Kingdom is a sacred assignment, and you must reject help that does not come from God. Test what is offered as help.This requires discernment. There exists both open opposition and disguised opposition. Both are designed to tear down and not build up.

Don't abandon your assignment to meet the needs of your opposition. Don't abandon your prayer life, your calling, or your divine purpose. Discouragement precedes stoppage. Just keep building. Stay focused. Fear and temptation are among the tactics used to discourage.

Lastly, a life of faithfulness does not exempt you from discouragement and opposition. We are to sharpen our skills to combat opposition. Your assignment deserves more attention than your opposition. Keep Building.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together (Psalm 34:1-3).

Just Want To Praise You Forever and Ever and Ever...

The message today was taken from the book of Lamentations, the 3rd chapter, verses 22-24. Focus verse 23. "They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Subject: Great Is Thy Faithfulness.

There are some scriptures that are easy to shout over because they sound good. But there are other scriptures that become powerful because you have lived through what they are talking about. Lamentations 3:22-24 is one of those passages.

Jeremiah is not writing from a comfortable place. He is writing in the middle of lamentation, destruction, disappointment, and grief. Jerusalem has fallen. The temple has been destroyed. The people have experienced devastation because of their persistent rebellion against God.

Yet right in the middle of all that pain, Jeremiah pauses and says: "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed." In other words: "We have been through some stuff, but we're still here!"

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS...

Highlights: Lamentations 3:22-24.

1. God's Mercy Kept Us. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we ate not consumed."

2. God's Compassion Is New Every Morning. "They Are New Every Morning." That's good news!

3. God Himself Is Your Portion. God Himself is the believer's ultimate treasure, security, and source of complete satisfaction instead of material possessions.

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS...

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth (Psalm 47:1-2).

Lord You Are Welcome In This Place, Have Thy Own Way...

The message today was taken from the Gospel of Mark, the 10th chapter, verses 46-52. Focus verse verse 51. "And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight." Subject: Looking Beyond What They Could See.

My brothers and sisters, there are some people who have become identified by what they struggle with. People see divorce but don't see the disappointment. They see the addiction but don't see the pain. They see the failure but fail to see the potential. They see where you are, but don't see where God is taking you.

And oftentimes the greatest tragedy is not that folk cannot see what God is doing. The greatest tragedy is when you begin to see yourself through the eyes of other people. Bartimaeus could not see Jesus physically. But spiritually, Bartimaeus saw something that the people standing around Jesus could not see.

HE SAW JESUS AS THE ANSWER TO HIS CONDITION!

Highlights: Mark 10:46-52.

1. Look Beyond The Obvious Condition.

2. Faith Can See What Physical Eyes Cannot See.

3. Persistence Will Push You Through Opposition.

4. Your Strength May Be Hiding Your Desperation.

5. Jesus Changes The Question Before He Changes The Condition.

6. Faith Produces An Identity Change.
