Jesus on the cross knew exactly who He was dying for.

He did not die for a version of you that had it all together. He did not wait until you were worthy. He did not hold out for the best possible version of you. He looked at every broken, selfish, rebellious, messy part of you, and He went to the cross anyway.

He knew who He was dying for. The good. The bad. The ugly. All of it was in full view and none of it changed His mind.

That is not just grace. That is a love that has no category in this world. And it means that no matter what you have done or where you have been, you were not a surprise to Him on that cross.

He knew. And He went anyway.

Have you ever felt like God could use everyone except you?

Today in our Fight the Good Fight series through 2 Timothy, Pastor Bryan reminded us that everything in God’s creation has a role and a purpose. Using Paul’s illustration of vessels made of gold, silver, wood, and clay, we were challenged with a powerful truth: in God’s house, we belong. Whether we see ourselves as ordinary or extraordinary, God has a place and a purpose for each of us.

Jesus knew exactly who He was dying for. He knew our good, our bad, and our brokenness, yet He chose to love us anyway. God does not simply tolerate us. He loves us, redeems us, restores us, and desires to use us for His glory.

We were challenged to run from sin and pursue righteousness, remembering that we cannot run away from God and toward Him at the same time. No matter your past, your failures, or what you think you’re worth, God can take a broken vessel and use it in powerful ways.

The question is not what you’re made of. The question is what God can do with a life surrendered to Him. We are grateful for another Sunday worshipping, learning, and growing together as a church family.

Thank you for joining us for worship, today! Today Pastor Bryan will continue our sermon series through 2 Timothy entitled Fight the Good Fight. It is time to stop playing defense and start living with purpose and courage. “Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called.” Join us as we walk through Paul’s urgent letters to Timothy and learn how to stand firm, lead boldly, and endure to the end.

If we've truly called on the name of the Lord for salvation, we must turn away from wickedness.

We must not dabble in it.
We must not find comfort in it.
We must not ignore it.
We must not choose it over righteousness.

Paul reminds us that God's foundation stands firm and that those who belong to Christ should depart from unrighteousness. Following Jesus is more than believing the truth. It's living it.

The gospel is not just something we agree with. It transforms the way we think, speak, and live. As followers of Jesus, we are called to pursue holiness and honor the One who saved us.

None of us will do this perfectly, but a life that belongs to Christ should be moving away from sin and toward Him.

If you serve at Hope Church, this is for you.

Thank you for every early morning, every late night, every prayer prayed behind the scenes, every hug, every smile, every chair moved, every child cared for, every conversation, every rehearsal, every sacrifice, and every quiet act of faithfulness that helps make this church feel like home.

So much of what God does here each week happens because people like you simply said yes.

You are seen.
You are valued.
You are making an eternal difference.

And more than anything, God sees every act of service done with love.

We love our Hope Church volunteers.

The Christian's words should be profitable, not poisonous.

Before speaking, posting, commenting, or sharing, ask yourself:

Does this conversation add value?
Does it encourage someone?
Does it point people toward Jesus?

Paul warned Timothy that irreverent and empty talk does not just waste time. It spreads like gangrene. Gossip. Slander. Cynicism. Mockery. Arrogance. None of it profits anyone. All of it does damage.

Our words have the power to build up or tear down. As followers of Jesus, our speech should reflect the gospel that has transformed our hearts.

Today is a good day to take inventory. What are your words doing?
