The communications office of the A.M.E. Zion Church sorrowfully announces the death of Bishop Mildred B. Hines, Presiding Prelate of the South Atlantic Episcopal District.

Bishop Hines was elected the 98th Bishop in succession at the 2008 General Conference in Atlanta, GA.

Details regarding funeral arrangements and an official statement from the Board of Bishops is forthcoming. Please keep the Hines family, members of the South Atlantic Episcopal District and The A.M.E. Zion Church in your earnest prayers. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
