The Paine College National Alumni Association, Inc. – Augusta Chapter joins family, friends, and the Paine College community in heartfelt remembrance of our beloved alumna, Mrs. Josephine Dawson Taylor, who has passed away at the remarkable age of 102.

Mrs. Taylor leaves behind a legacy of excellence, education, grace, and service that will continue to inspire generations. A proud Paine High School Class of 1942 graduate and Paine College Class of 1946 alumna, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in French.

As our oldest alumna, Mrs. Taylor represented a living connection to Paine College’s rich history and enduring legacy. Her life was a beautiful testament to the transformative power of education and the lasting impact of a Paine College education.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to her family, loved ones, and all who were blessed to know her.

Arrangements will be forthcoming!
