At Cornerstone Assembly, we believe everyone is welcomed and loved. Game Day Sunday is coming to Cornerstone — and we want YOU there! 🏈🎉

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, September 27 at 10:30 AM. Wear your favorite team colors, jersey, hat, or game-day gear and come ready to represent. Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina, the Falcons, the Braves — or somebody we'll try not to hold against you. It's all fair game!

We're also thrilled to welcome Christopher and Ashley Reed from UGA Chi Alpha as our special guests. They're serving on the front lines of college ministry, reaching students with the Gospel and helping young adults become lifelong followers of Jesus. Come hear what God is doing through their ministry.

And because it wouldn't be Game Day without food, we'll have a cookout after the service! Grab a plate, hang out with your Cornerstone family, and enjoy the afternoon together. This is the perfect Sunday to invite a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member — tell them to throw on their gear and come with you. See you there!

We live in a world of customization—curated playlists, tailored feeds, and our perfect cup of coffee. But what happens when we try to customize God? When we start asking Him to move on our schedule, bless only our plans, and agree with our decisions, we risk building a counterfeit altar to a god we've made, rather than worshipping the God who made us.

On Sunday, we began our two part sermon series: "What's on Your Altar?" and Pastor Phil shared on the counterfeit altars we are tempted to build in the message, "The God We Make."

This Sunday, September 6, is our BGMC Money March.
Bring your coins and dollars for the offering!

Through BGMC, kids are challenged to pray for our missionaries, sacrificially give to missions, and reach the lost in their own area.

Funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world with a special emphasis on Kids Helping Kids.

Temptation doesn't usually show up looking like destruction. It shows up looking satisfying, deserved, harmless, even exciting. But the enemy never advertises the ending — only the beginning.

It shows you pleasure — not bo***ge. It shows you excitement — not regret. It shows you the moment — not the consequences.

James 1:14-15 says our own desires entice us, drag us away, and give birth to sin — and when sin grows, it produces death.

This Sunday, Pastor Heather reminded us: the bait looks better than the hook looks dangerous. But you don't have to bite.
