Working out our salvation comes with all kinds of twists, turns, and curves in life. You may find yourself in an unexpected fight with yourself — your personality traits, feelings, and desires — and there will be times when your carnal side seems to be winning.

What do you do then? Do you quit? Should you throw in the towel? Or should you continue striving to improve the quality of life you live and present to others?

I believe we should keep working to improve ourselves with the help of the Holy Spirit. Remember, He is our helper and guide. We must rely on Him more and more because He wants us to become our very best. We should desire to be our best selves at all times, even when we are falling short.

Faith combined with surrendered effort produces amazing results. I know God is doing something amazing in me, and I am experiencing the results. It does not yet appear what we shall be, but when He appears, we shall be like Him.
