A Word For Today
Good Morning Family
✝ Romans 6:5
"For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:"
Paul knew the importance of relational closeness with the Lord Jesus, for by faith in His sacrificial death on our account, we were positioned in Him, and eternally United with Him. When Christ died, we died in Him, and we are to reckon ourselves dead to all sin. He identified with us when He died in our place so that we can identify with Him in the likeness of His resurrected life.
When Paul said; “I’m crucified with Christ but I live, not I but Christ that lives in me.” No sacrifice lives to tell the story, but Paul had so identified with the death, buried, and resurrection of Christ it was like he himself had experienced it.
Each one of us should long to know personally the power of God working in us because of our new position in Christ Jesus and Him working through us our everyday circumstances.
Being United with Christ is to be identified with the person and work of the Lord Jesus, it is by faith we are placed in union with Christ. We are positioned in Him by being baptized into the body of Christ at our salvation.
We should walk with Him as we travel along the way in our daily life struggles. We are to acknowledge Him in the morning time and draw close to Him in the evening hours.
Prayer;
Loving Father, thank You that I am United with Christ in the likeness of His death and that His resurrection life has become my life, through time and into eternity. Thank You for directing my life every step of the way, as I follow you. Guide me today and direct my heart and mind into the love of Christ. Draw me into a closer intimacy relationship with you. In Jesus name, Amen
God’s Word for you today.
