Graduation Puja: May 2026

The Graduation Puja was held for high school and college graduates, who performed a Ganesha Puja under the guidance of volunteer priest Kiran Karanth. This meaningful ceremony is a cherished annual tradition celebrating graduating students.
The Puja Committee organized the event, with full support from the Prasad Committee. Nine graduating students, along with their families, friends, and temple devotees, participated in the celebration.
Following the puja, awards were presented as part of the Kusum Desai Endowment for highest SAT scores. The first prize was awarded to Riya Sondhi, and the second prize to Saumya Patel.
Awards were also presented under the Gita and Harendra Desai Endowment for the Essay Writing Contest. This year’s topic was “Hindu Scriptures and Nature.” Riya Sondhi received first prize, and Saumya Patel received second prize.
We congratulate all the prize winners on their achievements. On behalf of HTS, we extend our best wishes to all graduates and pray that Lord Ganesha blesses them with success and fulfillment in all their endeavors

Holika Dahan is observed on the full-moon night (Purnima) of the Hindu month of Phalguna, the evening before Holi, and revolves around a sacred bonfire that symbolizes the victory of good over evil. It signifies the triumph of dharma and heartfelt devotion over ego, oppression, and wickedness, serving as a powerful reminder of the protective strength of true faith and righteousness. The flames are believed to consume negativity, impurities, and past misdeeds, spiritually preparing people for the joy, freshness of the new season.

Join us in celebrating Holika Dahan on March 2nd at 7:00 PM and the Holi colors on March 8th at 11:00 AM.

Venue: 1421 Luke Rd.

Light refreshments and prasad will be served.

This year, as part of our ongoing community outreach efforts, the Hindu Temple Society once again organized a Diwali Drive for the Homeless. In the spirit of Diwali — the festival of light and compassion — our outreach team partnered with the Garden City Rescue Mission to support their incredible work serving those in need within our community.

Through the generosity of our devotees and well‑wishers, we collected a variety of essential items that help keep the mission running smoothly during the colder months. Contributions included socks, winter clothing, blankets, and daily‑use necessities — all of which will bring warmth and comfort to those experiencing hardship this winter.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and donations to this meaningful cause. A special thank‑you to the Garden City Rescue Mission for giving us the opportunity to collaborate and continue our shared goal of uplifting our community through care and service
