We have free will to choose between good and evil. Both are equally present & out of our control to eliminate its existence. Meaning, the purpose of our free will is to choose which of the two will dominate our decisions. Which stands to reason that we were created to be ruled!
Deuteronomy 30:19: "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live."
