Practice for Beginners begins Sunday, January 14 @ 3:15 pm and practice for the teens begins Monday, January 15 @ 5:15 pm. We would love to have you join our team here at Hope Christian or help you to start your own team at a different church, private school, or home school.

Can we get a drumroll please for next season's official text announcement? Teens will be studying the theme "I AM" (John 1-10), and Beginners will be studying the theme "See His Glory!" (John 1-6).

Please check with your sponsor for information specific to your local group and league regarding practice and meet times and resources needed. If you don't have a team or sponsor, contact us and let us tell you how easy and rewarding it can be to get one started! We'd love to have you join us for the 2023 Spring Season of National Bible Bowl!

Why Bible Bowl?

Academic Benefits:
The study skills that our players develop during their time playing Bible Bowl equip them with benefits that cross over into their other academic endeavors. Players learn to follow directions, train their brains to memorize quotes and facts, overcome test anxiety by regularly taking timed bubble tests, answer questions with confidence, speak in front of a group or a crowd, meet study deadlines, and so much more! Players gain teamwork and leadership skills that benefit them not only in a classroom setting, but also in their future employment. Players who compete in Bible Bowl are often awarded scholarships for participation and merit from a number of affiliated Christian colleges! (Some players have even been able to negotiate matching scholarships from schools that are not affiliated with Restoration Movement organizations.)

Why Bible Bowl?

Community:
One of the many reasons that players and sponsors say that they keep coming back to Bible Bowl is for the COMMUNITY. Not only do players make lifelong friendships with their teammates by practicing and playing with them throughout the season, but they often find mentors in their coaches and directors. At league and national tournaments, players and coaches form relationships with like-minded people from their region and from all over the country, and now, through virtual Bible Bowl, as far away as Africa!
