DAY 6

The day started with a special breakfast delivery from Bloom and Butter Micro-Bakery: fresh cinnamon rolls and cookies—thank you, Liz! Two groups were sent out to do yard work and maintenance for a couple community/church members, while others prepped the church’s mother’s room for a fresh coat of paint. After a full week of work, the group enjoyed a restful afternoon of boardgames at The Bakery and swimming at the pool. The evening ended with a shared meal with the church family (special thanks to Mark and Holly for smoking brisket all night!) and a night of worship.

Tomorrow the group will join us for a brunch and church service before getting back on the road to Ohio. Come join us to send them off! Brunch @ 9am, Service @ 10am

DAY 5

Another beautiful day in Audubon with the team from Ohio! Wrapped up the day with a catered meal by Ashley’s Kitchen & Katering (thank you for blessing the crew with a home cooked meal!), our last day of VBS, Zellmer Family Band (congrats on 75-years Our Savior's Lutheran), and some sand volleyball!

DAY 4

Another full day and some big projects completed! The dugouts were wrapped up today along with a few parks and our handicap accessible ramp!

Poppsy the puppet made another appearance at VBS and helped “bring home” the lesson from Psalm 23. The Lord is a good shepherd who laid down his life so that we could have eternal life in him through faith!

Not sure what tomorrow holds for the crew but we have projects for rain or shine!

DAY 3

A day of “divide and conquer” as we moved to the school grounds to begin staining the baseball and softball dugouts. Big shout out to the 8-10 Audubon students who showed up to lend a hand to help—we appreciate you! Also, we are very thankful to Charlie Brittian, Aaron Olsen, and Aiden Kjergaard for helping facilitate the project!

This was also the first day of our VBS!

The plan for tomorrow is to continue in the parks (3 of 4) are almost completed. Wrap up the dugouts, ramp, and possibly tackle detailing all buses/school vehicles.
