Reading the word is the most important thing you can do in your life except for pray.

My reading for today was from Psalms 1-6. I personally enjoy the book of Psalms. I would like to speak about the third Psalm.
From my studies I believe that this Psalm was written when David fled from Absalom. In verse two it was said that people believe no one could help him but we can see that in verse three that he knows put his trust in the Lord and in verse four we see that he was able to relax and go to sleep.
We need to have so much faith in God that we can trust him the same way. He will give us sleep in our times of trouble. Let's put our trust in God even if no one else does.
He is not a respecter of persons. We can expect God to do the same for us that He does for anyone else.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Psalms 7-12.

My reading for the last two days was from Job 38-43. This is the end of the book of course. This is where Job has God speak.
Job had said that he would one day see God. He probably expected it to be after he had died. I guess God surprised him.
God still appears to people today. I hope that no one has to go through what Job went through before they see him.
God blessed Job after his trial. Twice as much. I believe that God still blesses people today. He still wants to bless you.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Psalm 1-6.

My reading for today was from Job 32-34. I found these verses.

Job 33:14-15 KJV
[14] For God speaketh once, Yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. [15] In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumberings upon the bed;

I hope that you don't just read past this and not catch it. Many times people have dreams and just write them off to something they ate. Any excuse to not pay attention to the structure of the dream. You can find the meaning of certain things on the Internet. Most times it is worth the effort.
There are many people on the web who interpret dreams. My wife is a dreamer. Has had thousands of dreams and has studied them. I won't try to tell them in this setting, I would probably get parts wrong and I know she wouldn't like that. There was a man named John Paul Jackson who had a gift from God to interpret dreams. Made many studies that you can probably find on the Internet.
Don't overlook your dreams. They really are important.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Job 35-37.

My reading for today was from Job 15-17. This is where he brings accusations against God. Sometimes we accuse God of things without thinking. I have heard many people accuse Him of things that they would have not if they had just thought before they opened their mouth.
If we were honest we have probably all done it. We do things without thinking. This was all a test and everyone involved failed it. Thank God that He gives us a second chance. I remember in school some teachers gave retests. There are some tests that we can't study for. Job had no idea he was being tested. Many times we have no idea that we are being tested.
It pays to know the teacher. If God is the teacher maybe we should try to be His pet. Let's try to get closer to Him.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Job 18-19.

My reading for today was from Job 11-14. In chapter 14 Job speaks about his ideas on immortality.
He talks about a tree being cut down and growing back. Of course not every tree will sprout back but I have seen it happen. We cut down a tree one time in a place where we wanted to drive. It kept growing back until we put a steel plate over it.
In verse 14 he asked, "if a man die, shall he live again?" At the end of the verse he talks about an appointed time. That appointed time is the rapture. One day a trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ shall rise.
Job knew that. It's our hope. Are you ready? If you are not sure leave a comment.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Job 15-17.

My reading for the last two days was from Job 4-10. This is of course where his friends begin to instruct him about his failures.
Many times those who should comfort us think that they know best about what is going on. So instead of comforting us they believe that they are helping us by showing us what is wrong.
Maybe we should just really try to comfort people when they need comfort. Let's let God lead us. He has reserved a time for judgement and correction. I don't believe that He wants us to correct those who need comfort.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Job 11-14.

My reading for today was from Job 1-3. This is a very interesting book, one that is misunderstood.
I thought that I would say something about this verse.

Job 1:7 KJV
[7] And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

In this verse we see some interesting things. First satan, although a fallen creature, was still able to come before God's throne. Second, he goes to and fro in the earth.
We sometimes think that because satan fell that he was in hell, but that's not the way it really is. He is the accuser of the brethren. This is not the only place in the Bible that we find him before the throne.
Even though we have an accuser we also have Jesus as our counselor. When he accuses us we have someone to stand up for us. Thank God that we have a counselor. We can trust Him.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Job 4-7.

My reading for the last two days was from Esther 1-4. Esther is one of my favorite books. There is so much I could say but I'll save some of it for later.
The story is set up with queen Vashti losing her position as queen. This of course was in God's plan as we will see.
Because there was no queen Esther was chosen. This also was in God's plan.
In chapter three we see Haman enter the plot. Because Mordecai would not do him reverence Haman decided to not only destroy Mordecai but also the whole Jewish race. This of course was the plan of satan. He has always hated mankind.
We shall see tomorrow how God is always at work.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Esther 5-7.

I have been reading through Ezra and Nehemiah. There are a lot of things that can get boring but these two men were two of the most influential men of their time.
I believe that one of the most important things was their prayer life. As I read I noticed that Nehemiah would pray almost all the time. He would ask for God's help in everything that he did. And when he did something for his country he was sure he reminded God to remember him for it.
I believe that he should be our pattern. Maybe we should talk to God like we would our friend. He is our friend! Maybe we should expect Him to listen and maybe even talk back. Give it a try. I believe that He is just waiting for you to be His friend back. You would not be friends with someone if you didn't talk to them.
Hope that didn't sound too tough on you. A friend of my friend is my friend.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from Nehemiah 8.

My reading for today was from II Chronicles 29-32. This is the story of Hezekiah. He is one of the most interesting kings in the Bible.
He was a contemporary of Isaiah. It was Isaiah who prophesied many things to him. I found this verse.

2 Chronicles 32:24 KJV
[24] In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign.

The sign was that of the sun moving backwards. This has actually been proven by NASA. One time in their calculations nothing would work until one man who knew the Bible had them correct their calculations by the time lost from the sun moving backwards.
I was told about this story by this man myself personally. So many things in the Bible have been proven but many people still don't want to believe. The Bible is real we should trust in God.
I hope that you are reading through the Bible with me this year. My reading for tomorrow will be from II Chronicles 33-36.
