Thank you Loren and Stephanie for hosting the Youth Group again!! The ice was plenty think, but wet! Pastor Blaise made a Coke slushy! We also continued our series talking about the Fear of the Lord. “Most people fear something because it is bad, but we fear and respect God because he is good!”

Please be in prayer for Pastors Blaise and Adam while they attend Presbytery this morning! Presbytery is the regional gathering of pastors and ruling elders in our denomination. There, they worship together, collaborate on shared issues facing the church, and work together to help churches who are struggling in a variety of ways.

January 29-31, our students embarked on our first ever winter retreat ❄️❄️. The Lord blessed us with such a great time, including lots of snow. There, the students split into two groups: underclassmen learned about having our identity “in Christ,” a phrase that appears over 80 times in the Bible. Our upperclassmen participated in our catechism class, which spanned topics from theology, church history, and human nature.

Thanks Lutherhaven for a great place to have our retreat! Thank you Janet, Mariah, pastor Adam, and all of our students who participated.

Just before Christmas, our Youth Group took a trip to The Glass Park in Fort Wayne! There, the artist helped each student make their own ornament and we had a ton of fun learning about the process. 10/10 would definitely recommend
